Summer - Tuesday, May 30, 2006 1:38 PM
Okay summer is coming up and I really want to become tankish/ripped for going back to school. What should I do each day in order to get big, strong, in shape, etc... and be able to join the football team. Im asking this because it will be different than going to school and I need someone to tell me if I should wake up earlier instead of sleeping in, what I can do to reach my maximum potential of gaining muscle over 2 months, etc...

Thanks Alot.

Hi,

NextBigThing -> If you have posted advice, and JustBB does not wish to follow -your- advice, that is his perogative to do so. You, along with most people offering advice, are doing so on your own experiences, not through any professional accreditation; therefore JustBB is well within his rights to opt to ask for a diverse range of answers, rather than taking -yours- as gospel. If he so chooses not to follow your advice, why are you continuing to harass him for doing so, and why are you continually making a statement: "I already told you a plan"?. As he chooses not to follow your regieme, I suggest you stop the carry on, and allow others who may have alternative suggestions, to issue them? - This will make it a much nicer, easier forum.

JustBB -> Building muscle, along with any health behaviour change, requires a level of commitment. You will need to prepare yourself adequately to make this step, before you just jump into a Gym, and work away. In the mean time, if you wish to go to the Gym and work-out, this is fine, however, I suggest investigating / researching your methods of progression prior to putting your plan(s) into action. Otherwise, it will be a short-term solution. Almost no single person is able to wake up one morning, decide to alter their behaviour, and succeed.

As a result, what you choose to start with now, you must uphold, even when you return to school, or work, or social commitments. This includes your nutritional goals, as well as your exercise goals. Making your goals 'smart' (specific, measureable, acheivable, relevant (and realistic), and time-specific) will make preparing steps to reach them, much easier.

Specfically, in a 'nut-shell', what are your goals?. You've mentioned muscle gain, however other factors that need to be addressed are:- What is your current weight/height ratio? What is your current diet regieme?, What is your current exercise regieme?.

If you can let me know this information, I will attempt to look at methods which may assist you in reaching your target.

Cheers,
Nicolas.

I won't even waste my time reading your long text.I've only read the first 4 lines

me and cpl give him good advices.I don't harass him,u really don't know him,he always ask the same questions, and they were like 20 people's giving him advices and regimes, NOT JUST ME.u don't know anything about the previous thread.

and I think everybody (exept u obviously) will say that cpl's always gives good advices.and even if he didn't want to follow cpl's advices,20 other people's anwser a REALLY similar question to him like 2 weeks ago.

I don't care if u give him advices or u give him your opinions !

but I do care if u say something about me.don't say I harrass him or in the other tread that i'm possessive.

they were like 20 people's that gave him advices and say that is workout is not good and he ask a similar question again and come with another bad workout that is almost the same every week lol.

I was talking to just BB,u wanna say your opinions,I have no problem with that.Do your thing I do my thing.Don't tell me what to do or what to say or that I harass someone and we are cool.

Nextbigthing,

That was an incredibly immature response.

I never claimed that CPL, or your advice was incorrect. So, please, do not make assumptions on what is not actually said. What I -did- say, was that if JustBB wants to ask for other people to offer advice, then it is -his- right to do so. As a result, you really should stop responding to his posts.

Its a rather simple concept. If he isnt listening to your advice, then do not read his posts, and do not reply to him. No one is forcing you to continue trying to help him ... so learn to chill out, and focus on someone else who may be more willing?.

I suggest controlling your temper.

NextBigThing,

If you dont 'need' my advice, that's fine. Quite comical, but JustBB may not 'need' your advice either?. It sort of, ironically, proves my point from the earlier posts.

Anyway, I'm hardly going to treat your 'warning' with any disdain. Feel free to ignore or block my posts / messages. I am not writing in response , to create argument, problems, or aggressive behaviour... I was merely trying to allow you to see JustBB is not acknowledging your advice.

No one made mention of the credibility behind your advice. So why take this as a personal attack?. The entire post I wrote, was purely to enable you to stop wasting your time with JustBB.

Anyway - I'm quite 'over' this entire discussion now.

well I wasn't the only one that gave him advices so your saying in don't need 20 people's advices ? so why he's asking questions ?

I just don't like people who tell me what to do or tell me I harrass people when I don't.
