Insulting remarks. - Sunday, May 07, 2006 8:47 AM
Yesterday I was hanging out with some of my friends. I was giving piggy back rides to some of the girls. And one thought I couldn't handle her weight, this highly offended me, I have been putting up with this my whole life just becuase I'm short. Has anyone ever been doubted about their strength?

Soin the end I just threw her over my shoulder. :D

Someone always has to write on the walls "Mike was here". But then someone else puts an arrow and it says "Mike is a ****got". So Mike comes back to check it out, "What the hell?! I was here but not as a ****got!"

thought I could handle her weight,

Sounds like you meant "couldn't"- Am I right?
It's not worth getting offended over- Definitely not highly offended, anyway. You know what you're capable of, you're the one in the gym all the time- And it's not a spectator sport for most of us. If someone doubts your strength, let them doubt it. I've seen plenty of people injure themselves trying to prove others wrong- A friend of mine tore a muscle and messed his back up real bad when he tried to leg press more than he should have- Just to prove how strong he was. Now, he can't work out anymore, and he's putting on quite a bit of fat. He talks about the days when he "used to lift" now. You don't want that, especially not because of some ego-bruising.
I work out at work most of the time, we have our own little gym set up in the boiler room. So, when someone needs something heavy to be moved, the guys I work with always look to me- Big awkward motors, pumps, stuff with no easy way to grab, weight unevenly distributed- I tell them I'm not doing it. They laugh and point out that I'm lifting weights all the time, and I've got some muscle on me- I just tell them I got that muscle from learning HOW to lift right, and from not taking any chances on getting hurt. They might see it as me wussing out, and I personally don't let it bother me- Because I'm not getting hurt for some pissing contest over who the alpha male is. Let someone else worry about proving their strength- You just worry about proving it to yourself when and where it counts- In the weight room, with a smart workout- And in time, your size alone will speak for itself.

Boo Yahh!! Well spoken.

Let's also not underestimate the power of reverse psychology.  When some girl you're flirting with "doubts" your ability to do something, she may just be deliberately pushing your buttons to force you to do it.  Women aren't stupid -they know where our ego buttons are, and they LOOOOOVE to push them.

I'm not married, thank God, but I'm willing to bet a lot of complicated home repairs are dragged out because the guy knows better than to tackle it, and really doesn't want to pay a professional.  So his wife says something like, "Look, if it's too diffucult for you, I'll just call a plumber."  Notice that she didn't ask, "Should we call a plumber?" -she phrased it as a challenge to his abilities.  So his reaction, most of the time is, "That won't be necessary, I'm not going to blow $400 on a plumber -I can handle it."  This usually ends in a flooded basement, and a bruised ego, when the correct answer would have been, "Whatever you say, honey.  If you don't want me to take care of it, just make sure you use your own money when you call him."  That is sure to start a whole other argument, but at least it doesn't lead to you trying to prove your capabilities

Don't take the bait.  Like CPL said, putting Mr. Freud in the driver's seat too often leads to injury.
Yes, that's me in my avatar, and NO, I don't look like that today. That was taken back in Jan '07, and I lost most of that progress when I slacked off last year. I'm on my way back, tho, and I'm using that photo for inspiration.

she said that b/c girls always phrase things so you'll tell them they're skinny/not fat/light as a feather blablabla. she's wasn't doubting you, trust me. girls are silly.

Dude your 13 of course youre short. Its not like your stuck with that height for the rest of your life, no one stops growing at 13, try 21-22. I was 5 foot when i was 13, Im 6 foot at 15 now, and expected to hit 6 6 by the time im done growing. back in 7th grade all the 7th and 8th graders laughed at me because I looked like a 5th grader, Im a freshie now, and everyone thinks im a junior. Youll grow. As for carrying the girl, Ive experienced this too, sometimes they dont want to be, or they dont want to be responsible for hurting you, even if you can handle someone twice their weight. Dont worry about it, its not the end of the world.

BWahahahaha!

When **** breaks, I say "Do you want to call the plumber, or should I?"

I am too busy for that ****.  The fights only arise because I refuse.

The smart married guy ****s **** up, so the wife no longer asks. ;)

hes right, but how tall are your parents dude?

Its just that, 6ft at 15 isnt exactly rare...and my friend big simon was 6'1" aged 15, hes now 6'4" ish but not 6'6"
Theres loads guys at the college where i am aged 15 some over 6ft tall, and i doubt theyre all gonna be 6'6ers.
doctors can over estimate.
when i got a routine check they didnt elaborate how tall but they said "well over 6ft"
Im 6' 3/4" average, 6'1" in the mornings.

Thats not well over 6ft, just dont get your hopes up.

Yes SCFool i get the same because i am tiny, everyone doubts my strength, and usually its all in jest, some mofo pissed me off last week so i punched him in the ribs, since then, he hasnt made any reference as to HOW he pissed me off or anything, and ive been called weak by him before, everyone calls me weak

I just say "wait a few years, my bodies just brewing a large one"
And i know il be large later in life, and when we meet up again theyl be shocked.

Ive lost count of how many times people have said randomly "can anyone here ever see [my name] being fat or big? its just not possible, you stuff your face with cakes and shrink dude."

as to giving girls piggy backs, its not funny when some fat ****ing whore jumps on your back because they think you can handle a 16 stone (220lbs) ****on your back without getting ready for it.
Not that ive experienced that.

Some short girl the other day thought I was 5 foot 5 or 6 and I'm 5 foot 11!  That offended me since the girl is barely 5 foot. Lol

I've only grown an inch since I was 13 and I'm almost 16 now.  Then again my friend just grew a foot in the past couple months.  You'll grow, your just a late bloomer lol.

Oh yeah that girl just said that because no one ever gives her piggy back rides and that she knew if she said that you would just to prove a point..  She probably felt special what you did for her.   Her legs ingulfing your face eww... Too bad no one took a picture lol... jk

RE: Insulting remarks. - Monday, May 08, 2006 12:49 PM
That happens with some people.

In general when people are bad determining height, anyone 6'5"+ are asked if theyre 7ft

and anyone smaller than 5'2" are apparently 3ft tall.

Ive been rated from 5'5 to 6'4
That was when i was 5'11

the guy who said i was 6'4 said he was 5'10 when really he was 5'6-7 ish, as a result he added inches onto me, i just feel sorry for the actual 6'4 guy there, i guess he was 6'11 apparently lol.

Im not sure if the late bloomer part was to me or SCfool, considering someone growing aged 13 like SCfool will isnt exactly late blooming i presume you meant me, im nearly 19, so i think im done growing, maybe another inch, i still think doctors dont get accurate results with these things, my sister was meant to be 5'10 ish and shes 5'6

And when someone says WELL over 6ft, in general i think 6'3+
