ORIGINAL: ironraider52 I can't do skull crushers, its so hard on my elbows. But I do know that when i did do them and it was pain free, I got a great workout in for the tri's. They are painful the first few times you do them, but after a while it stops hurting.

Yeah there my favorite tri workout. When you first start it's hard to keep form with your elbows.

To reveal the muscle you have built, you definitely have to lose fat- There's definitely no such thing as a toning exercise, there's muscle gain and fat loss- And that's it. You gain the muscle, then lower your body fat so you can reveal the muscle you've gained- That's when the results show. It works the same for the triceps, biceps, delts, pecs, abs- Everything. High rep workouts- Especially the previously mentioned 50 rep set- Can sure leave you feeling pumped, which might make some think that the muscle's getting bigger- But getting "pumped" doesn't do anything for actual muscle growth, or make any muscle show through fat any better.

ORIGINAL: BgJay have you tried reverse preacher curls they work wonders for that horseshoe how would doing a forearm exercise improve triceps? the only time triceps are used in that exercise is when lowering the bar down to stablize it so it doesnt just smack down and thats really not enough to even feel in the triceps
