I love bodybuilding/weightlifting/powerlifting. I love the whole science of it. Picking what days to do what lift and what exercises to do to shape that certain muscle group. In powerlifting its even more complex....4 board press, 3 board press, rack lockouts, band bench press, chain squat, speed DL's just the possibilites r endless. Then when u r powerlifting u mix in bodybuilding with it. I LOVE IT!!!

ORIGINAL: beginneralex well my cousin started lifting at an early age, like at 8 or 10, and before that he had passed a test at the hospital to know how tall he would be, and these tests are extremely precise. the error is like +-1 inch. the test had predicted 6'7" +- 1 inch, and now he is only 6'4", so obviously growth was altered... I have a question... where did he get this test... howmuch did it cost and what is it called.... thre quesitons lol... please tell me, im bvery interested because im 16 5'10 and have not growth for a year and a half.. and i need to know if ill grow more.. its killing me... I lifted(heavy for 2.5 years) i weight 195 pounds with 12 % fat growth stopping at 14 1/2 is normal, but you might be in for a nice treat with another growth spurt what's your parents heights? body goes through in general 3-4 main growth spurts which entitle around 6-10 inches of growth each one, first one is aged 8 onwards, 12 onwards, 14-15 onwards (4th can be older depending)[very rare, most growth after aged 15 is statistically speaking only a few inches at most, but it has been known for people to sprout ****loads of inches in there early twenties, its just rare]) AVERAGE, you get little height boosts within these time frames, after some main growth spurts you grow an inch here or there. you know when youre gonna go through a growth spurt when you start putting on weight, sometimes this is difficult for people to do as theyre weight changes majorly if youre BBing, but you will notice higher BF% and a lot more flab around the midriff before a major growth, guys majority speaking go from short and fat, then thin out and tall, gain weight again, grow more to thin, gain more weight, etc etc Just hope to god that pattern ends at growth than weight gain LOL lets see.... my uncles (moms side are 6'7 and 6'6) my father is 6'5... my mother is 5'8... my grandfathers... dad's side is about 5'8 and my moms dside is 5'11....... ......I am 5'10 and i am 16... and lol yes before my growthspurt i was a FATty mc FATT FATT..... and i grew 4 inches.... and got skinny.....BUT then i started bodybuilding and watching what i eat... limiting myself and overworking..... so i started getting ripped and stopped gaining fat weight..... usually with me if i eat right i get fat.. i HAVE TO go to the gym to lift and run to maintain my wight... i plump and for the last year i stopped lifting.. just pushups/pullups.... but i havent gotten as fat as i used to be,,,,well not fat..BIG boned : P ... lol so i need to stop working out so much and eat normally.. and get big boned again so i can get another growth spurt?...might work... my lit sister is 5 and she went after my dad in height... shes a head taller than everyone in her class and she started growing REAL fast when she got big boned.

well man with genes like that id say you should grow more, but im still like one of the shortest blood wise in my male side family shortest is my uncle at 5'8", then his two sons, ones at 5'9 ish the other 5'10 1/2 ish, it used to be at 5'11 til i grew, but most guys in my family are 6'3-6'4, less but still a lot 6'5 and 6'6ers, then one 6'7er. and im 6'1" sometimes you just get recessive genes that come from the shorter people. It sucks, you have tall parents and end up little, though 5'10 is average so youre not that bad, no one can exactly say "youre short" apart from people over 6ft-and theyre not exactly ones to be telling people theyre short when theyre taller than average. any medical back problems, mum smoke or any drugs (prescribed to your mum) while pregnant? Many things can affect height when youre developing as youre DNA is evolving as it were when youre growing in the womb, and many things can affect height, and i guarantee when genetic engineering is legalised everyone will want there children tall. I'd say youre readying a big growth spurt, youre dads big but mums small, realistically speaking il say you COULD end up at a decent 6'2" give or take an inch, but thats no guanrantee, go to a doc and they can take an X ray and see how far your bones have fused, if they have ossified then youre done, if theyre not you have more to go,the more gaps you have between your wrist bones-the more height youre gonna gain, and when you start growing-EAT PROTEIN LIKE MAD while nutrition isnt a major effect of height it can raise a good 1/4-1/2 inch each growth spurt average, so in general nutrition can account for a good 5 inches over youre growing life.
