Great list!  It would be sweet if we could also list the number of calories per serving of each choice.  Just a thought!

IMO the Jasmine variety of rice should be removed, and replace with Parboiled.  Jasmine rice has a glycemic index at 120, glucose is only 100.  You would be better off eating a chocolate bar with your lemon chicken than adding this side dish.  It just digests way too fast and is a poor carbohydrate choice.

That's a pretty good list, but sure would be more worthwhile to have some added data that would add distinguishing information about each item. What, for example, is the macronutrient balance of protein, carbohydrate, and fat? Adding a fiber factor would be a helpful add-on.

Not to be excessively critical, but there are a number of quality items that are not on the grocery list. Certainly if the list deserves "Sticky" status, it should be comprehensive and informative.

I'm certainly willing to spend time helping to further develop it.

I can't help, computer only at work, sorry. But if you decided to keep spices on the list please add my list found here http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/Pasta_with_spices/m_229498/tm.htm .

It seems to me that many users are new to cooking or at least to cooking well. Once they figure out what basics to eat, they get stumped on how to make them tastey.

Thank you for doing this for us! It' s a good list Smile!

One serious question to ask is, "how will this list be used by those within this forum?"

That will help decide what foods are included, and which data are listed for each.
