whey is pretty much whey.

I've tried 3 different kinds, they are all about the same. Only real difference is taste.

Well, when you look in the numbers some have more protein than others, some are slightly better quality, and some you are just paying more for the name. Like when you buy a Porsche SUV, its exactly the same as the VW SUV, except engine, and of course, your paying for the Porsche name, difference in price is like 60 grand.

Hope this makes sense

I recommend syntrax... the best tasting protein ever made. Nothing quite like strawberry kiwi protein shake.

Look at the fat amount.
Some brand have huge amount of cholesterol. Try to found a brand with less than 2g of fat per dose. Avoid brand with aspartame. Avoid brand with higher protein dose than 25g, Your body wont accept more than 25g per dose. Watch how much raw gram you need to obtain 25g. Normaly for 25 g you should use about 30-35 gram of raw powder. Many time the difference in price is the fact that you need more powder to get a normal protein dose. YOu dont save money if you need 50gram of powder to get 25 gram of protein...

What? Are you posotive on that lion? Your body won't accept more then 25 grams of protein powder at once? So basically all those times I've been doing what people have been telling me to do, which is use 2 scoops (25g of protein each) is just throwing money out the window?

Your body will process more than 25g per dose. MDA you take this one.

Not true.

Can the body absorb more then 30g of protein per meal?

Absolutely. If you are a 130lb female are you thinking that you take in the same amounts as the gal who is 180 at 4% body fat? No way. It all depends on your overall weight and how many grams of protein you need a day.
Think of it this way. If you need 130g a day and the other gal needs 180g a day but you both only eat 6 meals a day, how would the bigger gal ever get her protein? She wouldn’t.

So the old myth of you can’t digest more then 30g of protein in one sitting simply isn’t true. To make the most efficient meals you will want to split the protein intake up during the day of course. And there is a point where you cannot absorb more protein in a day (Like taking 3g of protein per lb of body weight for a natural lifter).

The female who weights 130lbs is going to have a different protein intake per meal then the female who weights 180lbs and needs more for her total body weight and total percentage of calories a day.
The myth simply is not true.

Yes, the higher the fat/cholesterol content, the higher the amount of Whey Concentrate as opposed to whey isolate. The difference? Well, concentrate is much cheaper to produce, so if the price is as high as the fat/cholesterol content, then you're getting ripped off. I've also heard that the isolate is supposed to be a better (more available to the body) source of protein, but I've heard no details (how much better, etc), and I've seen no studies that show it either (not that I've looked), so take that part with a grain of salt until our illuminati (Leah? dj? tj? tp?) chime in on the matter.

And of course there the difference in fat content, but we already mentioned that, didn't we...

Avoid brand with aspartame.

Um... why? Besides, don't most proteins use Ace-K as a sweetener?
