V12 by SAN

Ordered the Grape flavor. Heard a lot of good things about this opposed to just taking Creatine with Kool-Aid.

We shall see. I' ll try it for 10 straight days. So says their claims.

Frequency:

1 scoop 30 mins before breakfast on non-training days
1 scoop immediately after training

Directions say 2x daily, 8 hours apart. But I' ve seen people claim they are seeing good results just once a day.

I' ll post in this thread with my own personal results.. feel free to comment.

And what exactly makes this better than pure creatine? more importantly, what makes it sufficiently better to justify the price?

Maybe nothing. Except I like the combo of all the ingredients in one scoop. I could do exactly the same thing by myself. Plus it gives me a thread to start a debate about this product that has some much hype elsewhere that I' d like to add a little personal experience.. but I can' t as I' ve never tried it.

It contains Glutamine! It' s a CGT stack with L-Arginine (NO2). CGT= Creatine Glutamine, Taurine. Take a bottle of L-Arginine (NO2) that sells for about $60, V12 is less then that and it contains CGT. This justifies the price. (please don' t get started on glutamine and taurine and L-Arginine doing nothing... that would be another post.... I' m simply justifying the price).

What makes it better then pure creatine? Simple. For me, there is no more bloating. Every creatine product with Dextrose has left me feeling bloated. V12 never leaves me feeling this way.

I' ll refrain then, as I don' t want to get into another four page debate. Not today at least.

Where' s Kris when you need him? Probably hooked on that game I told him about.

Put it this way.. it will be a good thread on V12 " The Supplement Review"

More content and a chance to dispel more myths and bring some facts to this sport.

Don' t be a V12 Hater my brother... yet.. unless you feel like telling me (when you aren' t so busy) why there is no way this is a viable supplement?

Never said it wasn' t viable. Neither is the hated celltech.

Its just overpriced when you can get creatine and 10 pounds of dextrose for 15 bucks.

I agree that it' s pricey. Sure, I could buy creatine and 10lbs of dextrose for $15... but I also feel like a blimp with the bloating I get.

Look at V12 this way:

V12: $42.95 for 50 servings

Or you could take -

Similar Creatine supplement $40
NO2 type supplement $55
Total spent on the two: $95... not including shipping and applicable tax' s.

Again, I agree that V12 is expensive, but if you consider the alternative to getting what V12 offers, you will end up spending over twice as much.

My point was, IMO, you aren' t getting any more than creatine and dextrose will provide.

Can it be competitively priced based on its ingrediants? I suppose. I just think if you had 2 groups on with V12 and one with creatine + dextrose you' d get identical or VERY similar results. At the very least the results would not be sufficient to justify the increase.

I can' t argue with you on bloat if that' s an issue for you. Personally, it isn' t for me, but then creatine does not do shiat for me anyway.

Unless you respond to Creatine and the motivational responses from the cell volumization from NO2 type supps and the added Taurine (which is also been proven to enhance water balance and nutrient uptake in muscle cells (" cell-volumizing" )

Coming from a non-health relation profession and probably who these companies really make the supplements for (average Joe who doesn' t read this forum), this might seem like an overpriced product.

But, if you do respond to Creatine and the NO2 and Taurine gives you a boost (mentally) in the gym to hit heavier weights with an increased energy, then $42.95 isn' t such a bad deal.

I' m just taking 1 scoop a day.. every day.. which means I might very well have 100 servings in there rather then 50 as the container states (if I read correctly they assume you take it twice a day, 8 hours apart).

Put it this way.. for guys like me, who have trouble keeping up with the guys like you who know their **** forwards and backwards. The ingredients in there are all something I take now. Individually. Here' s one product, that packages them all together nicely, tastes good, mixes with water with ease. I do respond to Creatine. And NO2 type supps have given me a placebo (but I' m hyped in the gym and think I can lift anything). We know overload builds muscles. Whatever you need to do to get motivated. Some listen to tapes, others take NO2.

It' s not such a bad deal if you look at it from the perspective of some decent ingredients, with some good research, in one tiny scoop that GENERALLY people will respond to. And all of those supps, would roughtly add to this price and beyond (NO2 isn' t cheap)..

But it' s only worth if if you respond to these combinations. Somebody like TP who doesn' t respond to Creatine would be throwing away their money.

Could you make this combo on your own? Probably. If you knew what you were doing. And it' s apparent from most message boards, that the vast majority of people do not.

yeah i know it tastes great i am using this for 2 weeks.i am not a hardcore trainer and dont wanna mix all the powders vs..... v12 worked great for me and it' s best part which i discovered in the first week it gives an non - ending energy for all day till night. after my workout in that day i went to my office (i have an broiler(chicken for eat) farm which has a 60 thousand capacity. i need to raise the water bowls so i have to rotate 1000 times.i made it easly without fatigue.my co-workers couldnt belive this. so i gave them v12 when water bowls need to be raised.it worked for them too. just want to share this knowledge for you.i know it is out of body-building but it was interesting. i am using only one serving so it will be a 100 serving.i couldnt see any major changes beetween one serving per day and two serving per day.

I' m liking it as well.. I only do one (1) serving per day. Not the 2 it recommends.

What' s the bottle of 1-AD doing there..
