I saved it out of one of my many car forums earlier this year. I just thought it was funny so I held on to it. Here is a picture of the professor who discovered Horny Goat Weed I think.

Since you are doing the Max-OT for lifting, have you considered trying the Max-OT cardio?

Yes.. but I really need to consider just doing any cardio period. I'm doing a good 20 minute interval walk behind my house. It's pretty intense. Meets the standars of HIT cardio. A bit longer then 16 minutes but not by much. And I'm hitting my target heart rate the whole time. Now if I can do this 3x a week, I'll have it made.

Max-OT Cardio is incredibly effective at burning body fat, but unlike “normal” cardio, it may actually induce an anabolic effect on muscle tissue. Cardio that not only burns fat, it builds muscle. Imagine cardio that actually causes muscle to grow!
Max-OT Cardio can be described as ultra-high intensity cardio performed in 16-minute sessions and performed progressively from session to session. What this means, and it’s very important, is that each proceeding cardio session should be more intense than the one before. In other words, you should expend more energy (burn more calories) during every new 16-minute Max-OT Cardio session.

I will.. once I get back into tracking it again.

You'd be proud.... I did 4 reps at 75 lbs with the dummbells on curls. 5 reps with the 70 lbs.

Okay.. I'll track it. Smile

Not that workout.. I did preacher and cable curls followed by one lite set of hammer curls.

I usually do barbell if I don't do cable curls.

Chest:

Tonight was unusually good. I'm not sure why, but I came in feel great, and I left feeling like I had even more in me but I didn't want to lower my energy stores too low.

Bb Bench Press: 265x5; 275x4
Db Incline Press: 95x7; 100x5
Hammer Incline: 135x6
Cybex Machine: 180x7;160x8

That's 7 heavy sets. Each to positive failure. I didn't want to have to fall to the machine route as I'd been doing free weights but my partner left and I was at the last 2 sets, so I made the call just to try the machines.

Regardless, the flat bench was new personal best. So I feel I had the energy and took advantage of at least 5 of those sets and broke all of my personal bests.

Although 180 on the Cybex was good. I could have stacked it I was feeling so good. I guess I should have. Mentally I wasn't sure but physically I was feeling like I was on week 3 of a pro-hormone stack. Which I've not taken but man.. wow!

I should be sufficiently sore tomorrow. Smile

Twin:

Huge.. like.. umm.. no.. I wish. Still hovering around 195 lbs..

I'll be in that booth.. I'll stop by. No doubts. Smile

Neil:

Been training to positive failure since I started Max-OT about 1 yr ago.. maybe less then a year ago. Really since I have a consistent training partner. Otherwise, I wouldn't.

Yes.. but you had a pretty major rotator cuff injury and surgery. Once that heals completely, I'm sure you'll be off to the moon again.. 195 lbs isn't bad at all considering that stuff you went thru. Sounds like you kept a lot of mass. Was it the glutamine? Smile

Well if I quit doing cardio.. maybe.. I was only like 3 lbs away..

But with the addition of cardio, I lost a fair amount of fat while keeping the strength up and looking a bit leaner. But of course, that takes me away from the 2 bills goal.

As you know, building muscle and losing fat at the same time is pretty darn near impossible.. possible but not as effective as choosing one goal. Since both of those goals are in competition. One you need a caloric surplus and the other a deficit.

I think in Feb I'll bump the cardio to 2x a week for health reasons and go back on a bulk diet. At the moment, I'm losing fat while maintaining the muscle.

Does that sound about right?
