Tuesday May 25 Chest Warmup Barbell Bench Press 115x12,115x10,135x8,155x4,185x1 Workout Barbell Bench Press 195x6,195x6 Cardio Stair Climber 42 Floors I had to cut the chest workout short. The muscle at the front of my rib started to flair up. I guess that is still too heavy for right now. It seems to only flair when I am doing my chest exercises, so I plan to take chest day easy for probably the next month. Wednesday is leg day and I am going to try about 90% of normal, just to be sure I can take it. Laser

Wednesday May 26 Legs Warmups Squats 135x12,135x10,185x8,225x4,275x2 Workout Squats 315x6,315x6,315x6 (I could tell I was not getting to horizontal on the last set) Lying Leg Curls 67x8,67x8,67x8 Calf Raises on Squat machine 500x10,500x10,500x10 Cardio Rowing 2:00 mins 502 meters That was the day. I went lighter since I had not squated in 2 weeks, but it still felt very heavy. I took Thursday off and I am not going to the gym today, since me legs still hurt. I will try to hit the gym proper next week, but we will see how that goes. Laser

Wednesday June 2 Back Warmups Deadlifts 135x12,135x10,185x8,225x4,275x2 Workout Deadlifts 300x6,300x6,300x6 Chin-ups BWx4,BWx3,BWx2 Dumbell Shrugs 95x10,95x10 Since my chest and ribs are blown up, I can only work very light. So I did. Dumbell Flat Bench 35x20 (I could feel the ribs chirp with this little weight even) Cardio Treadmill 1.01 miles, The rest of the data was deleted by accident (DUH!). I did manage to run at 8.0MPH for over 2 1/2 minutes. It's progress. I can't wait to get my squat and deadlifts back on track. I need to keep them growing since the chest is sidelined. It is hard for me to be upset though, since I am still in "happy" mode from buying a new car last week. Laser

I bought a Dodge Neon SRT-4. It is a TON of fun. Ask pwolf66 what he thinks about it. It's my first new car. Laser

Friday June 4 Legs and misc Warmups Squats 135x12,135x10,185x8,245x4,275x2 Workout Squats 315x6,315x6,315x6 Calf Raises 500x10,500x10+pulse to failure Dumbell Military Press 40x8,40x8 Cable Rope Pushdowns 110x6,120x6,80x10 Overhead Cable Tricep Extension 100x6,110x4 (I super-set these 2 exercises) Ezbar Curls 67x8,87x8,107x2+1 really painful negative Ab Crunch Machine 150x20 (long time since doing these and it aggrevated my rib injury some) Cardio Treadmill 9:56 time 1.05 miles 190 cals This was a tiring session. I tried to stress my body out to compensate with my lack of attendance recently. Laser

Wednesday June 9 Legs Warmups Squat 155x12,155x10,205x8,255x4,305x2 Workout Squats 325x6,325x6,325x6,405x2 (Nice! I had not done this much for a while.) Time constraints kept me from further leg work, so I did some misc stuff. EZBar Curls 37x20,47x15,67x10,67x10 Dumbell Shrugs 95x10,95x10 I have been really sore in my ribs. I am considering a trip to the doctor again. I just don't seem to be getting better. Laser

Well, just wanted to check in. I did a full leg workout on Wednesday, but forgot to post. My squat workout weight is back up to 345 and I did 425x2 afterward. It felt great and I was ready to hit it hard this week. Well... Last night while warming up to bowl, I pulled the muscle in my ribcage again and it feels worse than when I did it initially. I am so distraught over all of this I am beyond words to describe. I will post regular again if I can ever get healthy. Laser

I went to the doctor to see why the heck I am still in so much pain. The doctor said I had not torn a muscle as I was told at the hospital. The situation is worse. I have actuall torn the cartiledge away from the bone between my ribs. This will take at least 3 months to heal. DAMN IT!!!! As you can see I have not been going to the gym, but it is really not a lack of will. I really cant even do cardio right now without my ribcage flairing up and I get the feeling like I am being stabbed. I have set it up so I can take the next month off of bowling and I will try next week to do a little cardio. The doctor said I could work my legs as long as I did not stress my midsection. No squats, but I can use the seated leg press. I will make due with whatever does not hurt.

I managed to get to the gym twice this week. Cardio is about all I can do without bringing on the pain. I have worked a little arm work and calf work. I split my cardio into 2 sessions with a little weight in between. Monday Cardio Treadmill 35mins 2.92 miles 520 cals Friday Cardio Treamill 40mins 3.65 miles 552 cals Hopefully I can make 3 days next week.

Wednesday Julu 21 Cardio Treadmill 35mins 3.64miles 653 cals I also did some light leg work and arm work. I can't wait to do some ab work again. My pants are getting tight again.:(

Yeah, I am guilty of a crappy diet. Wasn't too big of a problem when I was throwing all that weight around. I need to be a little smarter with may intake until I can start pumping again.
