Elbow Pain

Do any of you have any good tips to limit the elbow pain I get from doing tricep lifts? The pain will mostly go away when I take my week off every couple months but sooner or later it starts to come back and at time it can be pretty severe. The pain is right above the elbow knob. About the only lift I can do for triceps that doesn' t seem to hurt is where you take one dumbell with both hands clasped together on one end of the dumbell and do over head extensions. For some reason I can do heavy weight in this position but I don' t think the lift itself is all that great of a tricep lift. In the past I' ve always had trouble with what was called tennis elbow. If anybody has lifts or ideas that will help I would realy be interested? Like I said, it shows up a little in other lifts like rows but the most pain is in tricep work... Thanks..

I suffered from very similar symptoms. To the point that holding grocery bags was painful. Adjusting my form did little. Eventually I had to stop doing some exercises as they were just too painful. There was a friend, mechanic, who had tried Glucosamine. He said it really helped his joints. I tried it. Within two weeks, without a doubt, the pain had almost dissipated. The Dr. I went to basically said stop doing what you' re doing. That was it. No mention of anything else. Real helpful. I' d recommend Glucosamine with Chondroitin. You can get it almost anywhere. Work for me.. no doubts.
