Extreme pain in head during training
-
Friday, November 18, 2005 2:08 PM
Hey guys I am new here so first of all I wanted to say hello. I have been training on and off for about 2 years. I say on and off because about 2 months after I start my training I will be in the middle of a lift and will out of no where start experiencing a very strong pain on the back left side of my head. The feeling isnt really like a headache it is more like a pressure build up or a pinched nerve. I have been training this time for about 2 months again and hadn't felt the pain until yesterday while I was doing db curls. This doesn't seem to be something that happens during a specific workout it just spontaneously happens. The pain forces me to stop training for at least 3 months. After that I'm fine again for a while. I would really appreciate any input on this. Has anyone else out there experienced this? Thanks, Troy

I dont know man, but that sounds pretty serious to me...id go to the doctor, get it checked out...because if you dont it might turn out to be very serious and you might get hurt from it.

Weightlifters migraine.. Do a search in the injury forum. Theres a thread on this very topic. It was started by a member called 'Pappy' - cant remember the name of the thread though. Get checked out by the doc... just to get the all clear to make sure theres nothing SERIOUS going on.

My first thought was lifters headache but these dont tend to put someone out for 3 months. I think it could be something else. I would check out a chiropractor if it is something skeletal or a doctor cannot help with.
