Help me?
-
Tuesday, August 30, 2005 3:59 AM
ok im 6 foot 4-5 and my weight is about 78-80kg. I have been going to the gym up to 2-3 times a week and playing basketball. At the gym i do bench press, squats, leg press, box jumps abs, leg curls. Each of these exercised i have done 2-3 reps of 10 to 15 depending on each exercise. My goal is to increase my vertical jump. After a year of going to the gym like this i have only gained roughly 5-10kg on in machine or free weights. The thing that annoys me though is that my vertical jump hasnt really mproved. I still can only hit the ring of the basketball hoop with the top of my wrist bottom of my hand. What should i do to change my work out or imrpove it. Thanks for your help

Hey I have tried to increase my vert. the things I have found that work best are, Calf raises, and leg curls. Put some weight on the squat rack and go up on your toes. my calfs got huge in a few months. I'm 6'3" and I put 4 1/2 inches on my vert in like a year. never could quite throw down but I got so close.

When you jump, wear 2/5 pound ankle weights. Do that ALOT, and take them off. You will jump much higher.
