Leg Soreness

Does anybody have any tips on minimizing the muscle soreness I get after doing my leg workout. All my workouts are low rep heavy weight, and with all of them I may get a little sore the next day or two but the soreness isn' t bad. The day after I do my leg day (squats and leg press) my legs start getting sore, the second day the soreness really sets in and they are sore for three to four days after. I mean they get sore like it was my first time I lifted ever and I' ve been doing this for 2+ years straight (with a week off here and there). Does anybody have any ideas on why the extra soreness only happens to my legs and is there any supplement I could be taking before or after lifting that would cut down on the soreness some? I only take Whey, creatine, and multivitamins now, and I drink tons of water every day. The one thing good about it though is that I can realy tell that the workout hit the spots I wanted it to. Every muscle in my upper legs and butt hurt. Also, I am getting good results from the workout..
