let me start by saying i dislike muscletech. first cause i've tried many of their products. second i dislike their pathetic advertising.

they claim celltech to be supieror to other creatine products. celltech is 10 grams of creatine and 75 grams of dextrose per serving. compare this to regular creatine with 5 grams of creatine per serving and no dextrose. and other products with 5 grams of creatine and 34 grams of dextrose per serving. its not a fair comparison.

why dont they compare to celltech to 2 servings of phosphagen hp? they wont cause its pretty much the same thing.

they claim nitrotech to be better than other whey products. what they fail to mention is that they have creatine in this product. check out the ingredients:

SynthePro (Whey peptides [modified weight and partially predigested (hydrolyzed) whey protein concentrate (providing di-, tri-. oligo-, and polypeptides) {shorter and longer chains of amino acids}], whey protein concentrate, and new ion-exchanged specially filtered 97% whey protein isolate, l-leucine, l-methionine, l-phenylalanine, lactoferrin {synthePro full spectrum whey protein fractions include: beta lactoglobulin ~55%, alpha lactalbumin ~15%, glycomacropeptides ~21%, immunoglobulins ~3%, bovine serum albumin ~2%, lactoferrin <1%}), micronized creatine monohydrate; Insulogen ä (guar gum, d-myo-inositol, glucomannan, taurine, pharmaceutical-grade alpha lipoic acid, Inzitol ä {D-pinitol}); nitroxen (glycosidal saponins, folic acid), natural & artificial flavors, glutamine blend (l-glutamine, glutamine peptides, calcium alpha ketoglutarate), dipotassium phosphate, lecithin, magnesium oxide, N-acetyl-cysteine, dl-tocopherol acetate, acesulfame potassium, aspartame, pyridoxine hydrochloride.

so those who take this product 2 or more times a day are getting some added creatine and that makes the difference right there.

most of their customer base are newbies who see their ads and think thats what they need to see results. thats why i used their products. experience has since taught me better.

this is my opinion.

Anybody that spends the money they do to advertise.. cannot be spending that money on research. In M&F, they have like 5 pages "advertorials." Such BS. Really reels the newbies in.

Put it this way. Not all whey protein is the same. True. But I can get really good whey protein for $13 a jug over their $35 and get the same results and feel fine. So what am I really paying for? You are paying for packaging and their marketing budgets.

They have to pass those costs on to somebody and you know it's gonna be the customer. So how do they do it? Simple, they have very compelling ads that work to make a lot of people believe that their product is somehow superior over the cheaper but good brands.

Does that mean their stuff is bad? No. It's probably very good. But I can get very good stuff for 50% less because the companies I buy from don't spend that kind of money advertising.

It gets ripped on the forums so much (not only this one) because everybody is looking for good quality stuff at a good price. It doesn't make the cut when it comes to good prices. There's a post about making your own creatine. I have tried it.. awesome. Very cheap. Very good stuff. Similar to MuscleTech stuff at 75% of the costs.

Bottomline: There's nothing better about it. It's just as good as other less expensive brands. The only reason it gets bashed so much is because they charge so much more for the product for the marketing aspects of it. You could get some good protein, throw in some good creatine and have the same drink at a fraction of the costs.

shoot, thanks mda1125. i forgot to add this.

i do feel that the products are good quality. whats on the label is in the container and if you want to spend the extra money then by all means do so.

but if someone thinks they are getting and extra edge or something to that effect, its not going to happen. believe me it it did, all the other companies would be out of business.

I've heard cran-grape is the best juice to mix it with. I've seen absolutely no difference in taking it stright with water or mixing it though.

Optimum Pure Creatine, use 5 grams per serving.

Pure Dextrose, use 75 grams per serving.

1 dose of r-ALA.

Tis all.

Add some whey, and you are good to go.

What is so great about ANY supplement company? Marketing, remember Cybergenics and their faboulous results? Muscle-tech is no different...

It is a business, they buy it cheap and sell it for more money...

In the end, the only supplement that works is the one that provides something your diet lacks...
