Best way to lose body fat?

I am 15 years old and i weigh 150 pounds and i am 13.5% body fat and i am 6 feet tall. I want to be 8-9% body fat so how much do i need to lose? and what is the best way to lose it also i want to be losing it quick no 1 pound a week but more like 2-3 i know some of you will say i will burn off to much muslce but i think its worth it i am just trying to get a six pack right now and then il bulk up.

You want to shed about 8 lbs (of fat). 1 lb a week will get you there in about 2 months. Is that really so slow? If your plan is to bulk up, you certainly don't want to lose what little muscle you currently have. You're likely gonna lose that 6-pack during your bulk anyway, but whatever.

Btw, for what it's worth, that's pretty much what I did at the end of last year. Went from about 165 to 140 without regard for muscle loss, because I didn't have a clue. Once I started bulking up, I really regretted it. I'm not sure what your goal is, but if you have a desire to eventually gain a significant amount of muscle mass, there are much better ways to go about this than what you have planned.

well thx for the advice but i run track so musscle isnt my goal when the seans starts i do lsoe alot of weight but i i put on some in the summer so yea. and for if it matter i have rock hard abs but the fat covers them

Hi, I lost 137 pounds over the last 20 months. After research on the subject I found and still find these principles to be the best: (1) Right portion sizes, focus on nutritious foods that work the metabolism.I didn't follow Atkins or South Beach, but the general principles are good. Thansk

Losing body fat really doesn't have to be hard. Actually, most people already know how to lose it. You simply need to eat right and exercise. However, too many times people look at one specific area of their body and only exercise that part.You may be surprised to know that the more water you drink, the less of it is retained by the body.

6 ft tall and 150 lbs.??? I'd think you would focus more on gaining muscle first, then worry about shedding a bit of fat off.

if my math is right you need to loose 6lbs of fat to get to 9%. that leaves you at 6ft 144lbs...are you sure you want to drop weight? lol. 1lb of fat a week is a good loss. i think you need to bulk up some but if you are trying to lose it you can do things such as no eating carbs after 3pm, drop calorie intake, cardio post workout, running first thing in the morning, all the above, ect...

I think you are crazy kid, first you are 15yrs old. You are most likly going to grow more, so why do you want to loose. I think you should lift, get some muscle, and your fat will come off. I am 215 and have around 19% and I amm 5'7". so think about it. So if you want to loose eat 1500 or less. Good Luck!

Yes I'm agreed that by doing yoga you can burn as much fat as you want. Exercise is the best way to burn fat. Even You can use Hoodia diet pills. These are natural ans safe way to lose weight.

Bri and sgtdaa are completely right. Those stats aren't bad man. Start lifting and putting on muscle. In turn, your going to increase your metabolism and you'll burn that fat. I ran track and was a state qualified runner. Don't be stupid when it comes to lifting heavy during season but your off season leg training should be ridiculously intense. Well all your training should be intense. Your upper body training during season can still be intense but just be careful of what movements your doing. Your going to rely on your core alot during track, atleast as a sprinter.

The best way to loose weight is balanced diet with regular exercise. Balanced diet means diet having all nutrients required for our healthy body. Exercise early in the morning without eating anything is the best way to loose some weight. Also meditation is a good option.

Broad66 Well,thanks for sharing useful information...In my point of view Swimming are the best way to reduce your body fat...! I know this is an old laps, but swimming burns an insane amount of calories, works well. Problem is most people eat like crazy because it is so intense and makes you starving. I used to do laps periodically when I had more free time in college.

sandradavis Do Pilate's! Its a great exercise. Also you should be eating healthy. switch to turkey burger instead of the ground red meat. also LOTS of veggies. garlic,broc,green peppers(red,yellow),mushrooms,carrots,as… of fiber is good for your diet too!!! and since your a woman. Make sure you get enough dairy. Vitamin D!!!! Hope this will help you!! SERIOUSLY? turkey instead of ground beef, I fail to see how this is healthier, time and time again I see people suggest this. Fat is not the enemy.

The best are not ab specific exercises but it is a combination of cardio exercises that can help you burn calories and fat and strength training exercises that will help you build more muscles and reduce the overall percentage of fat from your body. Once you have reached a level where the fat percentage in your body is reduced you can then start doing crunches and other abdominal exercises to form your belly muscles and why not get a gorgeous six pack.
