That light headedness cant be healthy right? Are Power Cleans healthy or bad for your heart?

I think you guys were right. Today I deadlifted and really focused on breathing, and not only did not get light headed, it felt great! I stood up and got mentally ready first. Then I went down and lifted quickly while breathign deep. At the top position I blew it out and breathed in again then went down. Then I breathed out then in as I went up.

It's no different then when you stand up really quickly and get all light-headed.

The blood rushing to your head feeling so that you almost black out is exactly the same as when you stand up quickly.  Unless you are experiencing something different then what I'm talking about, then breathing was not the solution for me.  Not bending over gripping the weight for too long was.

I dont really get that feeling from standing. Oh maybe like after a night of drinking when you wake up and stand up fast. Yeah its that feeling.

When I focused on the breathign the entire excercie went so much smoother. I was actually in the squat position gettign mentally prepared fopr a while. Good tip to not do that.

thats what I do, breath out at the top rack position. breath in again, hold and lower the weight.

Im scared to death of passing out again, so I adopted this, and it has helped.

- Deep breath
- Power Clean
- Breathe out while taking weight down

is it really a good idea to let out and basically relax your core while lowering the weight?  i would say at least breath out then back in before lowering.  though it could just be me.

Yeah I kinda half-arsed that post, didn't really think about it, but that's what I do too.

Best to brace your core during any form of lifting.

Every exercise if performed correctly is a core exercise.

Yeah i noticed when i don't eat or if im hungry while i lift i have far less energy and could just pass out and take a nap on the leg press machine.
Get up off your ass and train!
