Actually... Stretching before squatting not only takes away power and strength but it greatly increases your chance of injury as well.. A light stretch is fine, just don't get all yoga'ed out on the stretching.. Daniel265 RedChocolate! make sure you stretch well before doing squats that is horrible advice. doing static stretches before u lift will dramatically decrease the amount of weight u can lift. so make sure u dont stretch before u lift, stretching after u lift though is very beneficial
