Leg_Beast Yeah and I totally agree, but it's hard to add weight to pushups. With bench press you know the weight and stuff. Weighted pushups: Throw a 45lb plate in a backpack, strap it on and go for it.

Yea I was gonna say. There is tons of way to increase push ups intensity -elastic bands -weighted backback (add couple towels in the backpack so the weights don't shift) -weight vest.

I'm in the Army, so I have done my fair share of pushups. I can definately say from my own experience, that doing 3-4 sets to failure (varying between shoulder width, close width, wide-arm, and incline) in the morning on days other than chest days, definately helped me with my bench. Plus, p/u's are a great way to get that "swell" going before you hit the club!
