its not that big of deal he swims 5.5 miles a day and runs alot also his metabolism is insane from all that plus all the calories burned immediatly..david what was your 50 free time? i don't swim very competitivly just some in the summer mines like 28-30 ish i'm a breast stroker though =D. Used to do year round got 4th in the state in 100 fly a few years ago dont really remember times from then though..
EDIT: also a pound of pasta and a pizza is definitly managable i could get the pizza and half a pound down in a sitting and i'm much smaller than micheal and everyone here..

i think getting that down is managable. whats hard would be continually doing it and being able to be as active given you have that much bulk food in you haha. you would think it would be bloating.

I used to swim too, but I quit, shouldn't have though, by now I'd be in the national team, the ones that kept on are now competing on international level, have won several golds in national and panamerican games, and about a group of 5 are now in the States competing trying to get a scholarship

I had a ~24sec 50m time about a year ago
Squat max - 245lbs
Bench max - 188lbs
Deadlift max - ¿?
Front Squats(atg)- 5x165lbs

You know what's funny? When I was on the swim team, I ate like all the other kids and was STILL fat. No joke. Of course I was still a teenager and still growing, but I was about 40lbs overweight when I was 16, and swam a ****-ton. I'm talking 3-4 hours worth of training a day. I wasn't a great swimmer by any means, but I did swim just as much as everyone else. So I'm gonna say that I still believe genetics plays a part in this. I remember swimming a lot, being really hungry, and eating the same "training" food (sandwiches, pasta, ect.) as the other kids.

Now my niece, she did the exact same thing as I did, and made it to the Jr. Olympics! Some people have all the luck.

[<font]Don't forget he's also 200lbs. And the supplenemenements he takes. I can see him burning and needing the 12k calories no problem.

Duchess your situation is very simple. Probably took forever to find the answer though. Your body doesn't handle carbs well at all. You must've switched to high protein + fat by now right?

A pizza and a pound of pasta in one sitting is a LOT.

Ive done it, it's easy, and you know im not saying this for saying sakes because 4-5 months ago in OOB the topic of massive food binges came up, and i said before this thread existed i do food eating comps and can eat 2-3 large pizzas, and i can also eat a LOT of pasta, 1 pizza and 1lbs of pasta is a piece of piss...

Quite honestly ive been dieting like this guy for most of my bodybuilding life, just less calories.

As to cholesterol, haha, no, the reason cholesterol is a problem in older people is no coincidence, its not because the body "isnt as fast at processing it anymore" because cholesterol isnt processed, its converted.

Testosterone, the lovely hormone that makes us big and muscly, is made from cholesterol.

cholesterol is the master key steroid back bone of pretty much all sex hormone steroids.

Which is why when women have there menopause or when men start firing blanks, there cholesterol levels start rising rapidly, because it is no longer being converted.

This guy is most likely the most fertile man alive with all them fats and salt HAHAHA.

Calories are calories, if theyre being burned in the same cyclic method theyre burned at with 3000 healthy calories then theres no problem.

Any by products made from all these fatty foods are the same by products made in the keto diet, and everyone here appears to love keto.

The only difference is he has large fats, carbs and protein, but he burns it, so it doesnt matter, hes just implementing a high carb diet, a high fat diet, and a high protein diet into one big ass 12k calorie diet.

Sounds like a smart man

Another reason swimming burn so many calories, vs. land sports, is that the cooler water takes the heat out of you more than cool air, so your body burns calories to maintain your body temperature.

Is it just me, or are his pecs kinda strangely shaped?  Sort of angular.  I suppose it has to do with the swimming.

[<font]Eh, it sounds fine to me.

My diet isn't that great, but I train my a** off, and I try to eat as often as possible, and I'm doing fine.

Training is more important then the actual diet.

Yes, you need the calories to grow, but the actual foods you eat aren't as important as to how you train.

I take lots of protien shakes, eat pizza everyday for lunch, eat taco bell a couple times a week.   I eat lots of chicken, oatmeal, and pasta too.  I eat a big old egg and cheese sandwich before I lift every day.  I'll eat candy if I'm in the mood.  I'll eat a cheesesteak if I'm in the mood.

Basically, I EAT A LOT AND LIFT HEAVY and I'm doing great!

It's so easy.

I hadn't noticed you say that, otherwise, I would not have been redundant, my apologies.

lol wasnt having a go at you man dont worry, i know im nowhere near the first to think and know the swimming pool water thing, but for some weird reason a few times ive said things here, and before i know it loads of articles randomly appear with information about it which before was never touched upon-like gluconeogenesis about 1.5-2 years ago, read many bodybuilding articles, never heard the word once, i use it here as i knew what it was, few googles later and bodybuilding articles are piling themselves up with the term and its information hahaha

yep same here pretty much minus the taco bell, and make pizza dinner not lunch hahaha.

Eating like this and training correctly will get you to a very nice weight, we both dont want to be professional 4% bodyfat bodybuilders, so why eat like them?

we want to be strong ass big relatively low BF% pwners, so we'll eat what they need, PIZZA! haha yum yum.

I just love the fact that me and brihead are the only ones here who dont measure out oz of food into little dishes and bags yet we have excellent gains.

Reminds me when my friend used to sit in maths silently and do as much as he can, while i didnt, and we both ended up with the same grades, bwahahahahaha he was pissed.

Twisted I don't measure my stuff out.  I just approximate it.

how many people actually measure everything they eat and put their food into little dishes and bags? im sure there are some, but i bet most people approximate or just have an idea of what they should be eating and actually are eating.

i think you are hugely exaggerating things on that one
