Oraly Administered Creatine

Has anyone tried the oral liquids or caps? I want to start using Creatine but I would rather just eat pills or use a dropper. Any suggestions?

And I've just discovered the Suppliment Reviews Thread...But there's still nothing there about Pills/Liquid Vs. Powder.

The ratio cost/quantity is better with the powder ... pills and liquid are expensive ...

There's no such thing as liquid creatine. Not after a few minutes in aqeous solution anyway.

how many caps would you have to take to get enough creatine and then how long would the container last you? the powder sometimes plays havoc on some ppls stomachs so they opt for the caps

Creatine is compromised of 3 amino acids in a particular structure. In aqeous solution (water is a solvent remember), the strucutre is not stable and changes. The result is creatinine.

So it converts to creatine in your body?

No it doesn't. We actually just had a seminar on this in biochem. Creatine gets converted to creatinine for removal...but it's not reversible. So if it comes in as creatinine it's leaving that way.

What he said. P.S. Donatelo, your picture of a Macho Man Randy Savage-type sailor looks awfully queer to me.

Creatinine Creatine hasn't proven to be stable in liquid form yet. Maybe for the first 5 minutes it is in the bottle. I know what supplement companies claim on the labels but science proves that to be untrue.

RE: Creatine Suppositories Heh, I just came within a click (OK button), of making a thread with that as the title. I thought better of it last second though. Ha... that would be sooo funny (Muahahahahahahh)!

i dont know if anyone will read this but the creatinine is completely unusable ive read that alot but dont understand why its still on the market i guess no one really knows that it wont work but i think there is still one catch it is stable for longer than five minutes in a bottle(altho i think it was meant as an exageration) its stable for maybe a month or two maybe a little longer but as soon as it is open i think it starts to deteriorate so all in all i think just good ole powder is the way to go "Creatine Monohydrate begins to breakdown and converts to creatinine in mediums less than pH of 6.0." i found this on the web later

from personal experience, the pills dont work, they were alot cheaper to buy though, i got them at a pharmacy over the counter, the were like $16, they dont work, i cycled off them and went back to paying a litle more for the powder.

I used the pills for about 2 months. I gained 10 pounds in just under 1 month, but after that they seemed to have lost their affect so i stopped using them but never lost the gains i had got from them. I would recommend them if you want to gain some weight fast.

Think I will just leave the stuff alone. The more I read about what's really going on with it the more it scares me...
