mr. 209

i used to think i always needed protein powders but i found that REAL food beats everything else. post workout eat tons of chicken, tuna, potatoes...anything healthy eat it.

Why real food beats everything else?

Because its natural.

LOL....and whey and caein are....chemicals?UNNATURAL????

HaHaHa....At times protein powder is MORE beneficial than "REAL" food as whey powder is predigested and doesn't tax your system the same way having to digest "real" food....such as post workout when its not always convenient or advisable to eat a big meal. Powders do have there place.
Current supps: Cell Tech,Superpump 250,Animal pak,ON 100% whey ,P-Plex,MDROL,Perfect cycle,ForMadrol Extreme,Hawthorne berry,SAw Palmetto,Red yeast,CoQ10

No doubt, poweders are way more convinient, but that doesn't mean everyone has to drink them. I just keep noticing how people ask which protein shakes to buy and such without concentrating more on the workout. If one pushes himself to the limits and has proper diet then powders are not necessary unless you can't make the scheduled meals or always on the go.

In between meals they are necessary IMO. I'm not wanting to add the carbs associated with a meal to get my protein, If I am to stay somewhat cut. At 275lbs how much "food" would I have to intake (with Calories) to get the protein for my body size? Protein Supplement is in my case a must! You must feed the animal you are working out to make.

I'm not downing protein rich foods...just saying, for me personally,I can't always eat a big meal. Being an ecto , I find it very hard to get my calories and protein in just eating regular meals. I literally stuff myself every day...but without my shakes...I'd lose muscle mass. It is a constant struggle for some of us.

You'll always get guys who are more concerned with supps, than actually perfecting their lifting form,or putting much thoughT into a routine. But powders are a must for some of us....But should not be used as meal replacements. There is literally no way I could eat a meal, post workout to get my protein requirements.......
