need advise on new supplement... - Sunday, July 06, 2008 7:37 PM
hey guys new here.. Ive been lifting for a couple years. nothing serious. just like to stay in shape... ive taken a couple supplements before.. had the best luck with cytogainer. took that for a while.. maybe 6 months... prob. gained about 15 pounds. i dont lift hardcore or anything.. just do the basics... notice the best increase whe i started doing squats... do prob about 140 lbs with three sets of 20.
im about 170-174 lbs and 5'9" with the two years ive been lifting i gained about 20-25 pounds. with in those two years... ive changed my eating habbits. taken out alot of junk food. (still eat some fast food tho!)
but anyway im rambling on ill get to the point... i stopped taking cyto gainer because it seem to have stopped its gains after about 6 months...
so im just on on 100% whey gold...
take it twice a day. once in the morning and once right after i work out (off day i take in the evening) cant say anything about gains or anything since i just started taking it a week ago... but it does taste really good! (double chocolate) i was just wondering if theres anything i can add into the mix.. for better gains. like something maybe tastless to mix in my on's protein... i would just like to get to a solid to 180ish lbs... oh i also take GNC vita pack every morning... so any ideas is appreciated!
and sorry for the long story!!!

take steroids. quit wasting your time with all that other crap......

haha i'm playing.  what you need is some good protein (which you have) a good multi vitamin (i like animal pak, it's the best)  creatine, bcaa's, and maybe some beta alanine.  flax oil is also nice to have.  those are what i would say are the "basics"

it all depends on your goals though

yea steroids haha... for vitamins im taking the gnc megamen sport vita pack.. has bunch of good stuff in it. and the on's 100% whey has some bcaa's in it..
do they make a tasteless creatine to add in my shake? and how much to add and how often.. and whats a good brand... i might make a trip to gnc tommarow. thanks!
as for goals not looking for much... just would like to gain 10 lean muscle pounds or so... would like to gain the most on my arms tho.. they are about 15 inches. but my arms are very long. so i want to fill my shirt sleeves out a bit more... my reach is 73 inches finger tip to tip. pretty long for 5'9"

i feel ya, god cursed me with long arms too.

what's your diet like? that' the most important thing....

they do make a tasteless creatine, i'd pick that up if i were you i guess.  but i'm not really sure how much to add

as far as the vitamin; nothing compares to animal pak.  but what you have is fine

based on your goals of getting better gains..............that part i put in bold is what's holding you back.  you need to plan your meals and eat clean, healthy food.  depending on if you want to do a clean bulk, dirty bulk, or cut, your diet is ALWAYS #1............

well if you're trying to bulk up, then you want to basically eat a lot of calories.  it will add some fat to you, but it will also add a ton of muscle.  when you get to a weight you want to be at, then you go into "cutting stage" and cut off allthe fat to reveal all the muscle you have

it's part of the sport

alright, if you just want to gain it gradually, calculate your daily caloric intake/needs for a maintenance diet, and add 100 to it. that's how many calories you need a day, and make a meal plan for that and follow it.  that'll do

for creatine, i like mono better.  but if i were you i'd get anabolic switch
