Good breakfasts for cutting?
-
Thursday, May 29, 2008 10:10 AM
hey everyone i was wondering what are some really good things for breakfast while cutting? currently i eat 2-3 eggs or a banana.. either over easy or scrambled with a little salt. What kind of cereals are really good for you, but still tastes good? What kind of oatmeal is good for you and is brown sugar acceptable on it? Nutrition bars? Sausage, ham, or bacon? Any other recommendations? remember this is for cutting.

No sausage ham or bacon. No processed meats for that matter....that means turkey, salami, capacolla, ham, you get the idea. You should eat whole grain quaker oats or steel cut oats. Banana is fine....you are going to want to increase the amount of protein. 2-3 egg whites is not enough. Maybe add some skim milk or nonfat cottage cheese. Watch the sodium! Personally, I stay away from brown sugar. If you want to put something in your oatmeal I'd say to try all natural honey.

why do you say meats like salami are bad? I understand turkey doesn't that go through a different kind of 'process food'?

Salami is one of the worst ones. It is full of fat, sodium and oil and contains lower quality protein. Though it is difficult, you want to eat as many natural, non-processed foods not containing preservatives as possible.

Damn..I ate so much of it while in greece last week, their variety was amazing, it didn't seem as processed as the stuff I get at home. I'm sure it's fine once or twice a week right? I mean if you only have like 2 or 3 slices won't hinder your goals will it really?

You can pretty much eat anything you want once a week without worrying about it hindering your gains.

i like that..thanks! I always feel bad when I cheat..generally isn't even once a week! Just with being on holiday in a country that prides itself on such goood food..I couldn't turn it down. But I guess on average me and the lady walked about 15 miles maybe more each day for nearly a week! Was great!

i dwat bacon u get over in the US lol but i say have as much as u want wid fried eggs, danish bacon is the best around! no bread! or wholemeal if you must. i think people concentrate on nutrition too much altho is the fundemental part of bodybuilding. not the guys on this post , but some people like to listen to themselves give advise. cut down on ur fats pal. no processed meats as one guy wisely said, or cheap bacon, full of hormones and water. take it back to basics. deep down , you know wat your allowed. dont cheat yourself, and you wont be cheated! hope i could help.

ORIGINAL: Reset hey everyone i was wondering what are some really good things for breakfast while cutting? currently i eat 2-3 eggs or a banana.. either over easy or scrambled with a little salt. What kind of cereals are really good for you, but still tastes good? What kind of oatmeal is good for you and is brown sugar acceptable on it? Nutrition bars? Sausage, ham, or bacon? Any other recommendations? remember this is for cutting. there is an eating plan called the keto run that is one of the most powerful fat burning eating plans out there. this is how i do it when i'm cutting work out in AM post workout meal: Whey protein meal 1: 6 full eggs 5 slices regular bacon 2oz cheese vanadyl sulfate chromium picoilinate meal 2: 3 oz raw almonds meal 3: 1 can tuna in water 2 tbs. mayonaise chromium picoilinate meal 4: whey protein 1 tbs. flax seed oil meal 5: 2 cups green salad 5 oz atlantic salmon 1tbs flax seed oil vanadyl sulfate and chromium picoilinate the vanadyl sulfate basically mimics the effects of insulin, and the CP helps maximize the effects if you do this for 10-14 days, the fat will shred off. BUT BUT BUT BUT if you cheat, you will gain fat. trust me. it takes discipline
