taste of optimum whey vanilla ice cream

i know optimum whey is one of the best whey proteins out there, but does anybody else agree with me that vanilla ice cream tastes terrible and mixes very poorly?

in comparison to syntha 6 vanilla and muscle milk light vanilla, optimum's taste doesnt even compare

any other flavor suggestions would be great, bc optimum whey is one of the few supps that i can honestly say works for me

It's vanilla, chocolate and marshmallow if I remember correctly.

It's probably the only "designer" whey I'd ever consider buying again.

 
Rocky Road has long but my favorite but we have a new flavor coming out that I'm now addicted to.
 
In fact, I'm going to go make up a shake using our new flavor right now.

The chocolate tastes great to me

i agree the vanilla doesn't taste good at all, it mixes really well for me

maybe i dont put enough milk in there, or maybe i put too much in there, but whatever the case may be, the taste of vanilla ice cream still really sucks in comparison to syntha 6 or muscle milk or max milk by eas

All On Wheys mix VERY well.  Probably one of the best mixable protein powders. 

I always get strawberry and mix it with grape juice for post work out drink, tastes great

Tastes fine and mixes well for me. I love all vanillas though.

Chocolate does tasted great, I agree about the Vanilla, I tried to gag 1/2 the container down, but then mixed it with chocolate to get rid of it...  Mint Chocolate is good and Coookies and Cream isn't bad..
 
Nothing tastes as good as Syntha 6 or Muscle Milk though, there is a reason for that, it is not 24 grams of protein and 120 Calories either..

Yeah Syntha-6 is the best in terms of taste. The strawberry tastes like melted ice cream.
Yeah it has 23g protein instead of 24g...
 
But you pretty much can't beat ON 100% for a good postworkout whey protein. The strawberry is pretty good. I tried vanilla first and it was pretty bad.
 
Anyone tried Syntha-6 vanilla? I wonder if it's better then the strawberry.

The Vanilla is just like Vanilla Ice cream.. I have never tasted a vanilla product like it, I would recommend it..

I bought some ON french vanilla creme this weekend and its GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD :)
 
pitty ON is getting quite pricey this part of the world :( went up by 10$ on the 5 LBS tub this month

I used On's vanilla a few years back and couldnt stand it. C&C was awful as well. I havent used the Gold Slandered flavors.

i have tried vanilla, strawberry and chocolate, but for me chocolate is the best and mixes even with plain water very well and is viscous, while the rest of the flavours tastes like plain water and kinna horrible,lol....... i would highly recommend chocolate flavor

Any hints on the new flavor(s)?

Yeah it'd be nice to see more Syntha-6 flavors but to be honest I'd still probobly stick with strawberry because I don't think it can get much better then that.
 
I picked up some Tropical Punch flavored 100% ON today. It's acctually pretty good. I always mix my postworkout shake with water and strawberry and water equate to something not so good. But fruit punch and water tastes pretty good, nothing awesome, it doesn't taste as good as say a gatorade but a definite step up from ON strawberry+water.
 
I wouldnt want to try the tropical punch with milk though, I'd probobly gag. It just goes to show you should pick flavors depending on what you use to mix it with.

syntha-6 is awesome, both chocolate and vanilla
 
 
mix ur ON vanilla ice cream in water then add 2-3 shakes of cinnamon and about 2 teaspoons organic sugar. Tastes like horchata (mexican rice/cinnamon drink)

do you blender it or stir it? i've tried about 4 differant kinds of protein and so far as for tast i like body fortress chocolate, taste is awsome but from what everyone says is not the best protein, although it says 23 grams on it. so i switched to gnc chocolate and gnc strawberry, mix it with 2% milk and blend it, mixes well even when i add the creatine but if i stir it or shake it in a cup it's clumpy or gritty.blah

mint choco. is the only way to go. No doubt. 

Finished my tub of ON Double Choco, and I wont be going back. That stuff made my Nalgene bottles smell like crap after only 2hours of storage in them. Back to Vanilla IceCream...(which mixes VERY well for me, in water and milk)
