I think most weight loss pills are bogus.  Maybe they do work to a certain degree.  I have used a few different kinds and they just made me piss alot is all.  The only thing I used that really worked is Ephedra.  I am not telling anybody to use Ephedra, I am just saying it does work however.  I started to get a 4 pack going on and the love handles started to go away using it.  I worked out in the hot weather using the stuff which I hear isn't good. It didn't hurt me in anyway, but it could effect somebody else.  Besides Ephedra the only weight loss pill I see that looks like it would be worth anything is Six Star Rapid Lean, by looking at what is in it, it looks like a winner.
Advanced RapidLean
OTHER INGREDIENTS: MICROCRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE, CROSCARMELLOSE SODIUM, VEGETABLE STEARINE, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, SILICA, HYDROXYPROPYLCELLULOSE, COATING (PARTIALLY HYDROLYZED POLYVINYL ALCOHOL, POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL, FD&C RED NO. 40, TALC, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, POLYSORBATE 80, SHELLAC GLAZE, ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, AMMONIUM HYDROXIDE), ACESULFAME- POTASSIUM, MALTODEXTRIN, SODIUM GLUCOLATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE.
Directions: As a dietary supplement, take 2 caplets with an 8 oz. glass of water in the morning. Do not take within 5 hours of bedtime, and do not exceed 2 caplets in a 24-hour period. Combine six star™ Advanced RapidLean with a calorie-controlled diet and a regular exercise program. For best results, do not snack after dinner. Consume ten 8 oz. glasses of water per day. Read the entire label before use and follow directions.

The product has 5 different types of teas in it and some other stuff.  If you cut your calories and worked out on it, I think it would actually help to lose a little extra bodyfat with all those teas alone.
