International Glycemic Index Chart - Must Have Resource
-

I've been searching online for a comprehensive Complete Glycemic Index, and I think I may have found it. A gentleman by the name of Rick Mendoza has put together an excellent chart I think everyone should have as a resource. It includes both the GI (Glycemic Index) and the GL (Glycemic Load) values on the same chart. It's a hefty print out at 67 pages, but 2 sided it's quite managable. I printed out the list and will keep this in my kitchen. He also explains with great detail how both GI and GL affect your Blood Sugar Levels. I think this would probably be an excellent FAQ. In any case, follow the links below This is the Complete Chart Rick Mendoza's Revised GI and GL Values (2002) This is a link to a list of common foods, a quick guide to what qualifies as Low, Med, and High on the glycemic index. Yeah, that's a pretty good document. I printed it to PDF a while ago, and keep it on my computer so I can reference and search on it whether I'm online or not.
