Muscle Or bodyfat?
-
Tuesday, June 27, 2006 1:19 PM
Hello everyone, this is my first post, so nice to meet you all I guess my first question relates to bodyfat vs muscle ratios. I just started lifting this month.. Ive gone from 133 - 142 lbs. I usually lift twice a day, but sometimes only once. So my question is this, how do you tell if you have gained bodyfat or muscle? A few of my shirts feel tighter in the chest area, but thats about it. Is it normal to gain 10 lbs in the first month of lifting?

well u can figure that out by poking ur muscle and seeing how much sinks in and how firm it is u can also tell by how much stronger u have been getting since u been only working out for a month it wouldnt surprise me that most of the weight gain was from muscle

ORIGINAL: Aman68136 I usually lift twice a day, but sometimes only once. dont do this. workout only once a day. you arent letting your body rebuild before you tear the muscle again. for a beginner i wouldnt recomend any more than a 5 day a week routine. working 1-2 muscle groups a day. and 8-12 sets per muscle group.
weight-170 height-5'8" 3 rep bench-225lbs Deadlift-260lbs squat- 200lbs aprrox body fat-13-15% I'll leave your girlfriends panties gummy and have her walking funny." - WC Stack- ON 100% whey, Xceed, & a little Muscle Milk for good mea

yea i wouldnt be surpised if that was muscle but twice a day for someone that just started is dumb. how long do u go each time. u need your rest. even though u might not feel sore and u think u can lift again the muscle is most likely still in the repair stage. plus u will get burned out faster goin that much and lose your drive. just calm down there champ
