What is honestly better to drink during a game of any sport? Gatorade/Powerade or Water? I know the Rades have sugar in them, but would that supply you with anything beneficiary?

We have lucozade in the UK...handy before and after a match, but i don't take it during...water is the best thign to maintain hydration....a lot cheaper too

The Rades have potassium in them. Plus when I drink powerade during a workout I have more energy and just feel better, thats me though. About the electrolytes I learned you should drink powerade when you have a upset stomach as because it contains these. I got that from a pharmacist. In actual fact I threw up that night and it was all powerade. But I started to feel better because I needed to get rid of the stuff in my stomach.

gatorade is good during a game, but DO NOT drink too much because the sugar will kill you on the field/court. I like to stick with mainly water and a little bit of gatorade.. or just wash your mouth out with the gatorade so you can get the good taste lol.

gatorade, if you drink too much water your gunna screw yoruself up by getting your salts out of balance, you can actually die from this, specially during intense excersize, but the gatorade does have alot of sugar, what i do is take orange juice 3/4 juice 1/4 water and 2 tsp of salt, make my own drink

Going through intense exercise I have always mixed the gatorade and water 50/50. That way you get the benifit of the gatorade and the benifit of the water.
