My rant on your favorite supplement - Sunday, April 30, 2006 9:58 PM
I'm here to to give a rant on everyones favorite stack, the BSN mass stack. If you are to biased to listen, or just don't care, you can leave now. Now why is it, that every single effing post is about the BSN stack. I have tried it, and i personally thought it was just decent. Its good, but doesn't deserve worship. About a year ago, before Ronnie Coleman got a massive check signing to BSN, no one gave a damn about BSN. Sure, some people used it, but no one really cared. Simply because the substance abusing champion(no knock on his personality, hes a great guy still) has a ghost writer telling you about how he gets 'jacked with pipelines' all day long, now everyone bandwagons? Come on folks, as a person we're smart, but as people, we're apparently stupid sheep herded about by the advertising industry.

the mass stack is obviously good stuff if so many people are getting positive results from it. maybe you just didn't react to it.

about ronnie coleman.... he's got 20 years of training under his belt and i don't know if he's really a substance abuser seeing as he's a police officer and all. i'm sure hes juiced but ya gotta give the guy some credit. he's the champ.

I think you missed the point, moralski. I've never tried it myself, so can't really comment- But what Wonch is saying is that it might be a good product, but it's not the Holy Grail of building. In my opinion, nothing is- Can you get good results from it? Sure- Judging from the success your average lifter seems to get from it, there's no doubt about it. Can you get good results from other supps? Of course. I think the point here is, Ronnie's a champ, and deserves all sorts of respect for what he's done, but just because he signs his name to a product doesn't make it the best thing since protein was put in powder form. If I was a champion builder, and someone offered me enough money to put my face on their product- Not a very appetizing thought, but anyway- I'd take the money and smile for the cameras even if I'd never gained an ounce from it. I'd feel better about it if the product actually was a good one, and I'd even write a real supportive piece about it's benefits. Bottom line- Go with what works for you.

Hi Moralski.  Ronnie Coleman of course does steroids, insulin, etc.  Yes he is a police officer, however to "possess" steroids in the US is not illegal, it's only illegal to sell, distribute, or buy without a prescription in the United States. If you were able to get steroids imported from somewhere (or just travel there and get them one day), or find a doctor who's willing to prescribe you some, then it's perfectly legal. If your sports federation prohibits their use in the fine print that's another way for it to be illegal for you to compete in that federation while using steroids.

To wonch, I understand what you're saying too. Just because Ronnie Coleman's face is a by a product, it doesn't really matter what the quality of the product is.  (I'm not suggesting it has no benefit however.) I think people need to stop looking at muscle magazines for supplement suggestions and start reading up!

hes the poster child for the gh gut and has talked about the stuff he does in interviews and its pretty serious. dont get me wrong, jay culter and the rest do the same and credit is due. but regarding the mass stack imo its so popular is it looks like it works. even if stregth gains are unspectacular you get fullness from the cell mass and hardness from the nitrix. the average joe dont care about actual stregth, they would rather look strong and thats what bsn stack does.
