ok, i'll try my best, this is pretty much what I know about them. When applied, they help release the fat cells into the blood and then they can be easily burned off. I think they are meant to be applied in stubborn fat areas like the hips and waist. I think they might work or help a little, if you use them correctly. But i'd probably save my money. A healthy diet and regular exercise will always do the trick

I consider it a more "advanced" supplement. A very new beginner need not be concerned as diet and exercise will do wonders. But when you get to a certain point, such things as carb cycling and topical loss creams (by certain companies) can be pretty effective.

Bearing in mind my bias, I will explain the landscape here. There are three sorts of alleged "fatloss" gels on the market today. 1) Those put out by unscrupulous companies that are nothing more than localized diuretics. These are heavily marketed, and, frankly, bunk. 2) Those that are put out by reputable companies (Ergopharm's sculpt and Avant Labs' Lipoderm-Y and LipoDerm-Ultra) that target fat mobilization (i.e. will help you loss fat in stubborn bodyfat areas) when you are already dieting. 3) Those that target VAT (visceral Adipose tissue) which is the predominant fat in male guts (aka beer belly) which is a result of being stored due to cortisol levels. The on such product out is Avant's called Ab-Solved. All the products I mentioned here work, to varying degrees, and there is plenty of feedback to be found on the net.
