I'm 16, i weigh 224, 5"11, and im tryin to slim down a bit.
My max bench is around 225, max leg press is at 700, squat probably at 450, curl max 130 (double bar) twice, and i'm probably around 22% body fat. I was lookin to get to around 15% by the start of senior year, i just recently changed my diet so i'm eating mostly fruits veges, the occasional starch, and meats/poultry. Anyone have some suggestions?

I'm in the same boat as you are man, except I am 27. The bigest thing for me is with working out at night I tend to go a little crazy with the carbs, so I am doing my best with cutting out the rice and such after 6:00-7:00. I'm trying to eat more greens. Other than that, I am trying to make using the treadmill more enjoyable... my new MP3 player seems to be helping things Smile Good luck.

hey chief i am a senior in that boat
about the same maxes all around little more on bench and leg press and squat
but a little heavier too
im about 240 at 5'6"
so i know how it is
i think another thing to do is to eat 4 to 6 meals a day
preferably 5 to 6, this keeps the metabolism up
burning more fat

well, now in a typical day ill start off with scrambled eggs w/ cheese and bacon in the morning, between my first and second periods ill have a banana, during class ill have some carrots, then at lunch ill eat a sandwhich on whole wheat bread with turkey or ham and cheese, then when i get home ill have maybe a salad or somethin small, maybe some tuna, whatevers there. Then dinner is normally like chicken and salad or a steak or somethin.

Sounds alright, but the coldcuts i would cut out, they give fat to the stomach. Id also go with egg whites or egg beaters, because if you have alot of egg yolks that is too much cholesterol. And stick with the wheat bread, its very good for you.

I don't know much in the dieting area but I know that if you calculate how many calories you been taking and lower it a little bit each week. You will drop wieght, you get fat from eating more calories then what your body uses. If you havnt been working out and watching tv all day. Then your body isnt doing much to burn calories you are intaking. Start up a routine for yourself where you workout out 1x a week with 2 cardio days. Would diffently get your body a reason to burn calories. Instead of watching tv or playing games or w.e take your dog for a walk or go on one for yourself. If you have a punching bag go beat **** out of it for a good 20 mins that will get you a good workout. I read something before that green tea increases your metabolism. Lots of studies on it saying its true might be a good idea to drink a cup a day or 2.

other then that good luck
