The dose usually recommended is 20 grams to be taken daily in 4 divided doses for 5 days: after that, a maintenance amount of 2 to 5 grams per day is usually sufficient to keep the level in the body at optimum.

if your talkin creatine which i think we are.. load for the first five days. how much u take is up to you safely i think is like what optimumhealth said 20g per day 5gx4servings. im about to buy the allmax creatine mono and it says 10 grams loading phase for 5 days.. so its all different. but take it in the morning before you eat. and right after you workout if your doing 10g loading phase. the days u dont work out durin the loading phase take it in the morning before you eat and before you go to bed that night. after 5 days then cut down to again like optimumhealth said 2-5grams. im going to do 5 grams though.

Loading phase is not required but saturation will occur faster than starting with the maintenance dosage. I would just start off with 5-10 a day.

the sales rep at my local popeyes who was a body builder throughout his life told me to try to take it like this..... 5g before workout or sports/5 g after workout or sports nothing on the days u dont work out. even if your doing two activities in a day, then u would take 20g. i just tried a sample of the allmax creatine mono this morning before my jog. I had to stop short to puke... im just going to stick to taking it before and after workouts, i dont think i need it for the cardio. or i might just take it way before i jog...

Guys, I'm only taking 5g post workout on my 3 workout days a week. Am I screwing myself? How much should I be taking and what is the point of it? I take it mainly for workout recovery. I know it's a cell volumizer so makes muscles bigger. Does that mean more blood to muscles and more hypertrophy? I also only do protein-only shakes pre and post workout on workout days only. On off days, I'll do a gainer shake during the day and a casein/glutamine shake at night. I'm putting on muscle at a pace I like (body weight gain rate a little less than 1 lb/week). Any potential problems? Am I holding myself back? I'm pleased that the fat is not out of control so perhaps I'm on a long clean bulk. Thx!
