Man, I can't help ya there.  That's odd.  Usually light headedness is at the end of a long set of squats or when I stand up from sitting/crouching/lying down.  You got me.  Hope you figure it out.  Does it happen when you go to bed at night?

When you WAKE UP?!  Do you black out?!  If so, that's not good, imo!  Get thee to a doc if that's the case.  Do you hydrate well?  Get enough sleep?

I get lightheaded when I do power cleans.  Like a second after I get the weight in the rack position.  But a quick breath remedies that.

It sounds to me, since it happens when you're in the supine position, that somehow blood is not flowing to your brain efficiently enough when in that position.

This doesn't help when benching, but when you're going to sleep try laying on your stomach instead of your back.  See if you still get lightheaded upon waking up.

With the bench, try a slight incline.  Like I said, it sounds to me like the blood supply to your brain is being cut off or otherwise disrupted when you're in the supine position.
