injury and preserving muscle mass

i broke my thumb, and got surgery on it but i cant do any weights for 2 weeks not even squats on doctors orders. what can i do to preserve muscle mass for the 2 weeks? plz help thnx

You can do everything you used to do, but need to be more creative. Use a dumbbell and do all the same work with just one hand, as far as squats go, use bodyweight, a weight belt, or use a hydraulic squat machine that rests on your shoulders and the hands don't carry weight.
