Its more practice then anything, get a few objects and put them a comfortable distance apart then run fast while sidestepping to avoid the objects. As you get used to it put the objects closer together.

Rugby is kind of like American football but in rugby you don't wear helmets and padding. Try spacing the objects 2m away each other first, and run while side stepping in between them. I can't really think of anything else that you can do, apart from arranging the objects in different ways.

lol. no offense to the yanks, but I KNEW they wouldn't know what Rugby is. Why arn't Americans interested in what goes on outside their own country? Do they know that football (soccer) is the biggest sport in the world?

I pay attention to what affects me, nothing in europe or the UK will ever affect me! then again I don't pay much attention to anything that doesn't affect me directly. I don't even know my next door neighbors name or what he does for a living....... That's fair enough. But soccer is FOOTBALL and NFL is a stop and start sport. Like Hockey and Basketball. - Thats why the yanks love it.

And ramming the ball down the other guys throat! Its 3 yards and a cloud of dust, its misdirection and power plays , its a play action fake and a hail mary. Its americas team and the new york(football)Giants Its Sunday night football,Its sept.9th In BIG D...... whoops...sorry...got carried away... and you were talking bout....Soccer??? I also find it funny that you guys refer to all americans as YANKS.....HaHa! There's a line called mason dixon.....above it are the yanks....below it are the good ole boys HaHa! LOL! TOO FUNNY!

In soccer all outfield players are only allowed to kick the ball hence the name football. American football players carry the ball in their hands the majority of the time so it doesn't make sense to call it football.

Well, one could argue that Rugby is far more dangerous, but there are rules that apply to tackling and take downs. Such as below the waist. (I think) Can't you charge someone at the chest in American Footie?

Rugby is less dangerous then American football and I would say it's less dangerous then soccer too, cause I play both and have never been injured in rugby.

What in the backs do you play ? centre ? Wing ? The best thing to do is to ask your coach to do some solo work with the backs, the best way to learn how to dodge a tackle is to have someone tackling you, the more you play, the better youll get, running round a bag wont help, because it doesnt have the adrenalin impact.

Rugby is actually huge in a lot of American Universities. You'd be suprised. A bunch of my old wrestling buddies who graduated already now play rugby and love it. It's pretty badass but I still get confused as hell watching it hahaha. As for American football, it's fun to watch but it IS STOP AND START. Just what fat americans love! Baseball, almost no one likes it... lol. And for basketball, you are wrong sir. Not really a stop and start sport. Other than wrestling, it's basically just below soccer on the level that you get tired quickly. It is tiring... and I suck at it... lol
