im 14. i run track in the spring, so i throw a lot of running into my routine too, usually i run every other day and weightlift on the days i dont run, taking sunday off. im an awesome runner, really good at distance, but ive still got quite a bit of bf on me for an athlete. im goin for the good lookin body. i definately want some bigger arms, biceps triceps forearms and all that, i wouldnt mind havin some abs, a nice 6 pack you know. the biggest thing i need to and want to work on though is my chest. ive lost a lot of bf, and i dont necessarily have man tits anymore. when i flex theyre pretty much all muscle, but they arent super huge, and when im not flexin they have the boob look and feel too them. so i need some help. anybody have a good routine for a teen? something that worked for you? i dont have a bench, i do have two 15lb dumb bells and one 35lb i use for curling. ive got a sorta cheap weight machine, but still gets the job done, and a treadmill. help me out someone.

At 14 (I was training then as well!) as a runner you need to understand some things... You destroy tons of muscle running if you do not eat right. If you want to keep the musce (muscle is what burns fat) you have to feed the muscle. You also want to train your whole body to get the muscle growing, once you are eating enough to gain muscle. Abs are a muscle and should be trained like other muscles. Not every day. Step one, find a way to fix your eating. Step two, pick a whole body routine and do it Step three, get pre, during, and post workout nutrition If you need to get a job to get a supplement to get the pre, during, and post workout nutrition...then do it! Follow the gaining mass link in my signature and it will tell you everything! Ask questions...I know you are 14..I know how challenged that can be! I did it too!

Um, sorry to burst your bubble dan, but I don't think he could get a "job" @ 14 lol. At least not one at a company. I mean he could mow lawns or shovel the driveway for neighbors or something. To the OP, I think you would benefit greatly from going to an actual gym, and as dan said, working your whole body. Nutrition is also an important factor. Start reading the stickies around the forums and learn about protein intake, carb timing, etc. good luck with everything, and props to dan for getting you somewhat started on knowing what you need to fix. You can get a permit to work when you are 14, at least in Michigan I know you can. The laws probably vary state to state.
