This is an over exageration. Creatine will breakdown but it will take a extreme amount of time (2-3 months) before the creatine even breaksdown by 20%.
It is a good point, I am not certain to what extent it loses potency once in solution. Are you certain of that...do you have a source for that. I was reporting what I had learned from a lab who wrote: "if you use a powder or mix, it is advisable to drink it as soon as possible (within 10 minutes) since the creatine can begin to breakdown once in liquid." On the creatine with a carbohydrate...a note: "Creatine's ability to enter muscle cells can be increased by combining it with glucose, fructose, or other simple carbohydrates" (1,2) Refs: 1.
