From Fluid on BB.com From ABC BB: Here' s my breakdown, take it or leave it (I' m naturally a skeptic...) From the website: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- " If you want to induce lipolysis, you have to increase cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate). Cyclic AMP is responsible for triggering the cellular processes for lipid metabolism. In other words, it' s the chief gatekeeper for stimulating lipolysis and slowing lipogenesis." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Asthma is due to a bronchial spasm or constriction of smooth muscle tissue due to a reduced production of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) which results in a reduction of airways diameter. What are popular asthma treatments that are also used as fat-burning supplements (containing stimulating alkaloids)? Ma huang (ephedra the family of ephedra), cola nut, and green tea. From the website: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- " ...the TCA cycle slows proportionally. This is a weak link in the TCA cycle and requires exogenous support through nutritional means if you want to maintain continuous and rapid fat loss." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is an extremely fancy way of saying that you have to have a continuous, well maintained diet to support your metabolism. Duh, we talk about this all the time with eating 6 balanced meals during the day. From the website: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- " The horsepower that fuels HOT-ROX is comprised of two novel compounds and their synergists. The big daddy, which is also the real magic behind our formula, is called A7-Eâ„¢. A7-E was designed from scratch by Bill Roberts and is best described as a tricked out, supercharged version of 7-keto DHEA. A7-E is completely new to the industry; it has a patent filed on it; and it' s so powerful on its own as a fat-loss agent that there' s no contest when compared to anything else that' s currently on the market. A7-E launches us right smack dab in the middle of a new fat-loss era!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Interesting. 7-keto DHEA is a derivitave of the hormone DHEA. The 7-keto formulation stops the DHEA from being broken down into estrogen, which is a problem when supplementing the origninal DHEA. But it' s use as a " fat-loss agent" is questionable. It' s more of a super-hormonal-antioxidant. So I' m not sure about this one. From the website: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- " The most challenging task was finding a way to boost T3 levels without suppressing TSH. From the scientific literature, there are two compounds that when taken together in relatively high dosages, would do the trick nicely: 7-keto DHEA supported by guggulsterones." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also interesting. Guggle (of which the steroid compound guggulsterones is made of) is an herbal remedy which lowers overall cholesterol and LDL by doing several things: it decreases fat absorption by decreasing cholesterol production in the liver while also increasing the production of thyroid hormones. Guggle is even great for fighting acne. The only problem is that they don' t mention the amount of guggulsterone they are placing in the product, nor are they able to prove that it' s 100% pure (although they make the claim). From the website: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- " We also wanted to utilize compounds in our formula that elevate mood and suppress hunger, especially for carbohydrates. To do this, we included ample amounts of acetyl-L-tyrosine and 5-hydroxy-L-tryptophan..." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This scares me, especially the 5-hydroxy-L-tryptophan, which has been associated with the disease EMS. The FDA doesn' t really regulate these items (even though it severely warns against them) because dietary aids aren' t governed by the same laws that our food manufacturing are. Anything that suggests enlightened moods or appetite suppression scares me. This is just my simple breakdown. I would agree with everyone and say you should wait to see how the rest of the public deems this product. No sense in wasting your hard-earned money to become a test subject.
