I am total beginner and every time i try and lift the weights i do ok but then i am acheing so much for days, i feel like giving up, is this just the muscles getting used to the weights??? what shall i do, it might be poor warmup aswell, what do u think?  I did, 3 sets on the barbell doing shoulders and i found the triceps r in so much pain..  any advice guys?

yeah... the aching will tend to go away for the most part.. but you will always have a little soreness after working out.. but you can help it with protein to increase recovery time..

ok kool but they r still acheing like 3-4 days after and i couldnt go gym until they r better, i must of ripped them up.

Keep lifting even though you get sore.  Work through the soreness.

more water, to get out taht lactic acid. maybe a multi so you get the needed minerals too.

what about that rumor that vitamin C immediately after a workout helps to redude muscle soreness? 
Muscle rubs Before a workout (like been gay, ice hot, Tiger balm, etc) have worked in the past for me, but I only really recommend them if you work out at home.  Its not really cool to stink up the gymSmile
Ian...if I'm NOT sore doe at least 2 days after I work out, then I don't feel like I've done enough....Smile
