i started shotput about 2 weeks ago. first week, the training was far too nutty for my body to handle. i stayed late on accident, and guess what? we ended up doing these bacon drills that involved a ****load of pushups coupled with what i already did on the bench that day. one week ago we actually got an organized lifting program. it involves benching 2x a week. since i started my bench has suffered...bad. i was capable of benching 200-205 for 5x. i can barely muscle out 3 under my own power now, and its like im back down to benching 235. how long is it gonna take me to recover, and what should i do to hasten recovery?
