ok... im 17 years old, 5' 6.5", 170 pounds, and max out on the bench at 170. Now my fat free body mass is around 135 and I am wondering how I should base my diet. Should I multiply the amount of carbs/fats/proteins on 170 pounds or 135? cuz im eating about 2400 calories and it seems every pound of muscle i gain, i get about a pound of fat also.. HELP!

Welcome to DB kvnmcp.. Check out this link on calculating your calorie requirments Calculate Expenditure: A starting point for all diets 1 lb of fat per 2 lbs of muscle is about right on a bulking diet where you are attempting to put on weight. You might also want to browse the Nutrition forum as there's lots of info there.. as well as check out the Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle review. It's the best nutrition book I've read so far..

lets see a sample of your average daily food intake. approx. what times do you eat? And 1 day on the program mda suggested is not very accurate.

i use on of those electronic fat scales Highly.. HIGHLY inaccurate. You can do it 5x and get a vasty different reading each time depending on how much water is in your system.

It is not possible to gain 2% BF in 2 days... that's like 4 lbs in 2 days. Stick to the diet for 2 weeks, after 2 weeks if you have not noticed an overall difference from all avenues (appearance, weight and electronic BF measurement average from 3 days) then adjust the diet. Until then leave it alone. I freaked out when I first started the diet I posted the first time. In a week I had gained like 3 lbs, after 2 weeks my weight was where I had started. When I hit the dunk tank I had lost a full % point. Stick to it it'll all work out. D
