when i was 14 ish years of age i was 5ft tall.....then came that lovely summer when i grew 10 inches....Oh the pain. Anyway, you dont stunt your growth via weights...well...you DO, but temporarily due to the spine bending, doing exercises such as deadlift and squats actually helps release HGH (growth hormone). Weightlifting shouldnt affect your height.

Also i think you should have one last growth spurt (unless you've already had one or two?) If your parents are tall-you will most likely be tall though it doesnt mean you will definately be there height or near it...i know... but yeah at 15 you still have a chance to have another growth spurt, maybe even 2

I want to grow too...Kind of obsessed with height. Parents dont nessecarily make you tall-but are the main factor like your brother, he towers over your parents, its due to genes, i will go into detail if you wish me to? Either way, it can work both ways, tall family making small child or small family making big child My dads 6'2, his dad (my grandad) is 6'4, and his brother (my uncle) is a giant at 6'7" Yet i only reach 5'11? true...my mum is 5'4" but my 6'7" uncle is married and has kids with his wife who is 5'2"....and his son is 6'5" or something...so...yeah I just want one extra inch...which i get while wearing shoes 6ft yay! lol

No, genes don't work quite like some people think, because when your parents have sex the sperm and the egg meet giving twice the amount of chromosomes a human has, but half of them obviously piss off or make hybrids, in general it can lead to ressecive genes becoming active etc. It's funny because males on my mums side family never go above 5'9 in general so at family parties involving my mums relatives theyre all like "wow youre son is so tall!" and then i go to my dads relatives parties and its like "move out of the way kid" and im like "im 17" and theyre like "woah someone missed a growth spurt" LOL theyre not like that, but you get my point lol. 5'3" is quite short, i do feel sorry for you there, but after i heard about some 5'2" ish guy(estimation from when i saw him, i dont go around measuring everyone LOL) my dad works for totally kicking the crap out of some 6ft+ ripped bouncer, i dont hold much respect for height/strength ratios lol In fact arent most guys in worlds strongest man contests usually 5'4-5'8? You never see many 6fters in them comps and when you do they usually suck...rather interesting...

The shorter guys usually win those contests because they have more muscle on their frame than the taller guys do. A 5'4" guy weighing 200lbs is going to have a bigger chest than a 6'2" guy weighing 200lbs. And because they are both powerlifters, their muscles are dense. Since the shorter guy has greater muscle fiber ratio or whatever it's called, he can lift more.

Yep the taller you are the more muscle you have to fill in. Doesn't mean you can't be ****ing strong, just not the strongest. I'm still hoping to win my highschool strongman competition though.
