good home made protein bar recipe?

How do you guys think this recipe for protein bars will hold up? I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve been kicking around ideas for my own bars. Im looking to make something with a sturdy bottom to it so I can bring it with me to work. I’m thinking of a hard oatmeal base with peanut butter top to it. Let me know what you think. Any critiques? 1/4-1/3 cup honey 1 cup healthy peanut butter 2 1/2 cup oatmeal 10 scoops of generic protein (about 20g protein per scoop) 1 table spoon vanilla 1 cup water 10 table spoons of fibersure (about 5 grams per spoon) 10 table spoons of generic(sugarless) creatine powder (about 5g per spoon) 1 cup crushed, no salt added peanuts Bring water to boil -add vanilla, honey, ? cup of peanut butter, 2 scoops of creatine and 2 scoops of fibersure. Wait until peanut butter melts down and mixes completely Pour mix into bowl with oatmeal. Spread oatmeal into baking sheet. -Broil on low on high rack for about 2 minutes -test rigidity, maybe flip and broil for 1 minute? Mix remaining ? cup of peanut butter, 8 scoops of protein mix, 8 table spoons of tasteless creatine mix, 8 table spoons of fiber sure, and 1 cup crushed peanuts. Spread peanut butter mix on top of base and broil for about 1 minute. I haven’t looked at the contents of EACH ingredient, but my rough estimates put the total protein content up to about 300g+ of protein. So, cut it up to about 8-10 servings per batch, it’s about 30g of protein. It’s has the protein, the fiber/complex carbs, little bit of sugar, and a bit of creatine. What do you guys think? Any info, or critiques you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

you think that's bad? i added a little more to the recipe that i'm going to try tomorrow, the fat content is through the roof! but about 90% of it is all poly and mono unsaturated fats. It's all the good stuff.

here is a recipe i have been using. it is pretty good 3 cups oatmeal 3 TBSP whole flax seeds 1 cup toasted wheat germ 2 TBSP brown sugar 3 TBPS honey 4 Scoops Vanilla whey protein powder 3 TBSP raisins 3 TBSP cranberries 1 cup water 1/4 cup almonds i think that is all i use. preheat oven to 350. use a weight scale and make into 4 oz bars and place on a cooking sheet. i cook them for roughly 8 mintues then flip and go another 8 minutes or so. this makes roughly 7 bars at around 450 cals per bar. Breakdown of nutritional information is roughly carbs-228cals P-132cals Fat-90cals

i tried out this recipe last week and took the bars with me on my vacation, and i have to say that they didn't really turn out as good as i had hoped. i had an oatmeal base because i wanted that to harden and be a sturdy base for the peanutbutter/protein mix, which i figured wouldn't harden. the exact OPPOSITE happened, the base was mushy and the top hardened a lot. I think i put too much flax meal and stuff in it. here's my new recipe, which i've tried and turned out reasonably ok. I make individual bars instead of a big batch, so you can do this as many times as you like: 1 serving of healthy PB (about 2 table spoons) (9g protein) 1 scoop of protein (20g protein) 1 table spoon of Body Fortress Glutamine (5g of glutamine) 1 table spoon of Body Fortress Creatine (5g of creatine) 1 table spoon of Flax Meal (serivng is 2.5 table spoons, but it overpowers the mix with that much, so i stuck with 1) 1 table spoon of Fibersure Fiber (5g of fiber) 1 Small handful of crushed no salt added peanuts (about 1 full cup per batch of 10 bars) 1 TINY amount of water (i couldn't get an EXACT measurement, but i was thinking about 1/8 cup of water) 1) thoroughly mix all the ingredients together -it should make a dry, clumpy, playdough-like substance -If you put in just the slighted bit too much water, it'll be REALLY sticky and won't really form a bar. 2) grab mix and form it into a bar (size/shape of your choosing) 3) let it sit and it will harden on it's own. 4) store in fridge and eat at your discression. protein- about 30g per bar. i don't know the rest of the specs for fat/carbs/etc, but i'm sure it isn't really bad.
