getting my strength back - Thursday, September 27, 2007 6:12 PM ( #1 )
well i played highschool football and competed in 3 weightlifting compitions.. now  in my first year of college i am about 50-90lbs lighter, ( depending on what year of highschool )i broke my collar bone, and lost a majority of my strength.

im currently 190lbs and bulking. Im looking for a good strength building routine ( as far as bench/squats go ) to help me gain back a portion of what I lost.

right now i currrently bench/squat two days a week ( one light, on heavy )

my old numbers used to be
bench - 315- 345
squat - 505-550 ( range )

i have no idea what my current numbers are.. they aren't terrible but they definitly arnt what they used to be.

Suggestions? Help?
Wyrms

You could try a simple 5x5 routine if you want strength, here's the link:

I never understood that 5x5 routine.

Less reps more weight each set.. You don't burn your muscles out so they are able to push to their max potential each set. if your doing sets of 10 your probably only going to increase the weight once or twice...
