Do alot of sprints, running miles has little benifit, how many times do you run over 50 yards in a play? TBH conditioning for a football game isn't that hard unless your the work horse RB/FB or are playing both ways, just do what the coaches tell you and you'll be fine.

If you really want to get into shape, you should try interval training...so for example: jog 400m, walk 100m, sprint 300m, walk 100m, jog 200m, walk 100m, sprint 100m, walk 100m and repeat again

so heres something.. start off with a lil warm up .. like walking lunges, high knees all that just get loose.. then you run 4 sprints .. you build up from the goal line to the 20 then full sprint to the 50 . then you do 4 more with a build up to the 30 and sprint through the 50 .. then do 5 110's.. after you get a hold go up 2 mor 110's all the way up to 15 with a rest of 40 secs in between.. wat we do to get crazy is wear a snorkle as well for added breathing .. goodluck
