Smilemost embarresing gym moment's youve ever encountered.
whats the most funniest , or embarresing gym moment youve encountered yet?

one day I was doing situps on a slanted bench in a situp room, and I had my mp3 player on, so u know I had it on loud. and then I started doing situps & there was like 2 other guys and a girl in this small little room( it kinda has an echoe) right by me doing situps 2, and I was just doing crunches then , Brrrrrr.... kaboom! ......I FARTED! BRRR.....it was loud cuz I heard it even through my headphones listening to my loud music. It just came out!!! that sucks....I was trying to hold it in...

and also there were a few days that I either bumped my head on a bar(clunk- (head tilts ) tripped, or get punched by the sides of those stupid machines and bars with their edges stickin out. its really funny though...

Running my head into the bar at a cage..
Hitting my head while in the motion of lying down to do the benchpress..

probably funnier is a friend was doing 135 bench and showing off *or teasing* as if it were a piece of cake and on one of the reps on the way down he clipped on of the sides of the bar with the area where the bar is kept, and fortunately he was using clips at the ends of the bar...
obvious what happened next, it falls onto his chest only on one side, he is like wtf... by the time he realizes what's going i'm cracking up cause it sounded so loud... and he can't lift the weights cause he's laughing...so finally after a couple of seconds, i helped him up..

There arent many people I know that can lift as much as me (not trying to sound like an asshole), so I just lift w/ my friends who are much smaller than me. I'm at the gym and its just us, I go to bench, I put on my usual warm-up weight on, 335, and start to rep it. I hit my 8th rep goin hard and for no damn reason my spotter just started to laugh, probably cuz I make funy faces when I lift, so then I start to laugh and it ends up on my chest. For at the very least, that weight was on my chest for 2 min., then on my throat for like 20 Sec. since it was decline and it went backwards off my chest onto my throat, and even then we are both laughing our asses off. I could hold the weight there easily, so it didnt hurt much, but as another min. went on and we both realized we couldnt regain our composure, I told him to go get help, he said no and told me to tilt the ar left... I had no clue wtf he was talking about, I didnt even realize that if you tilt the bar left, the weights will fall off. It was very funny when I finaly understood it, no one was there to see this hilarious feat of stupidity on my behalf, but hey, it was still embarassing, peeps expect me to be perfect when I'm lifting... always, no screw ups, its hard to try and live up to that 24/7.

The most embarresing thing that has ever happened to me was about a month ago. I had just sprained my wrist a week earlier, but i didn't want to stop working out. I was bench pressing and my wrist gave out and the weights fell off of that side. Then the other side was too heavy and i fell in the floor. That was pretty embarresing.

The Most embare assing ( spelled wrong purposely) moment is when I went into the gym and I had just pranked a bunch of my friends. I was on the squat right so I was holding the bar and My friend Justin comes up behind me a pulls my pants down. They did not mean to pull down my boxers. It was very sad that day in the weight room.

My most embarassing moment...hmmm. Well out of many dangerous encounters with a treadmill (spelling probably wrong) I've singled this one out. One day me and my friend Danny went to the Y to run on the treadmill. After about a minute of running Danny thought it would be funny to crank up the speed to full and keep his hand there so I wouldnt change it. So once he did that I did that to his as well but I also made it incline. Then, not noticing my shoe, my shoelace got caught in the foot pad. My shoes where throw backwards, I hit my chin on the control pad biting the tip of my tounge off. Then Danny fell as well because he tripped on the incline and was thrown into the wall cracking an outlet. He was laughing and I was trying to but I got the disgusting taste of blood in my mouth. But every time I think of it I laugh like crazy.Smile

First time I did a benchpress 3 weeks ago:

I was used to doing about 130-140 on the benchpress weight machine where you are almost sitting up. So I get the bar all ready and my dad is like "are you sure you want that weight? It's a lot different than the machine.", but I say I'm fine. I get the bar into the air, 135lbs, never benched in my LIFE, get it down to my chest and bring it up. All the sudden I just lose control of the bar and it falls to once side, weights fall off, then the bar springs back up and falls to the ground. I never felt so embarassed, lol. Guess I got what I deserved.

Which is why I always use collars...

I've noticed that most of the time both sides are equally as strong. And other times, I'm pretty glad I had the collars on.

I've seen some pretty embarassing ways of doing rows.. I wish I could take a movie cam into the gym.. it would be the Best of How NOT to Do a Particular Exercise.

I'm just embarrassed at how puny I am. i just started lifting this week so I have to figure everything out, how to use the machines, how much weight I can handle, etc. I wish I could have an hour in there by myself, alone, to figure this **** out.

*sigh*

my apologies...just needed to rant

I know what you mean, weighing in at 125lbs and being 5'11" is kind of discouraging, but then again I remember that I'm 16 and a lot of the people have at least 1+ years on me. So I just say "I'l see what I look like in 1-2 years time". I've played all kinds of sports, seeing results after only a month or 2 of playing, and bodybuilding seems so discouraging at first because you don't see the effects for awhile. Although nothing beats the feeling of satisfaction after you complete an intense workout at the gym. Smile

The very first time i tried to bench. It was with about 60pounds(lol) and it was also the very first time my partner had ever tried to spot.

My form was not only completely wrong, but quite dangerous. Ok, so i do about 6-7 and then suddenly i fail, doing 60 pounds remember, then i spent the next 30seconds trying to keep the bar from crushing my windpipe (Don't ask me why the bar was over my windpipe in the first place) while 5 people benching 4-6 times as me were either laughing or shouting at my spotter to help me.

Eventually my spotter grabed the bar and helped me up. For the first day at the gym, almost dying with 60pounds while my spotter looked into space was not on the to-do list.

haha funny times.

Well this happened today, it wasn't in the gym but I was SOOOOOO embarassed.

Was swimming, 300 meters freestyle and on the second 2 last flip turn I was too close, didn't realize it and cracked the hell out of my heels on the top of the wall. Was more embarassing than a lasting injury. Even with all the laps that I have done in my swimming career, this is the FIRST time I can remember EVER doing that, I've seen others do it and have laughed but man, it hurts :-(
