Rest, and anti-inflammatory meds (Advil, Aleve, Celebrex, etc..)

I have been going through this for 3 months now with my triceps tendon. It is much better, but still hurts

You need to start strengthening it once the pain subsides a little

Be patient

Hey bro, I had some nasty elbow problems... I commented on them here http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/Forearm_injury/m_23929/tm.htm Look into the ART therapy... it works. It's actually a very common practice among Power Lifters and pro athletes. PM me if you want with questions on the treatment. I wanted to hug the Dr. when I left his office... it felt like 99% better after the first visit. Good luck.

Tendonitis and the Effects on Your Routine

Something I wrote a while back for similar problems.

This is an old thread but a common problem. I've had the elbow thing twice. The right arm was surgically corrected and is better than it was before my injury. The left arm has gotten better with time. I wish I had the surgery on both arms at the same time because it only took six weeks to fully heal and the right arm is better than new.

The tendonitis originally came from upright rows. Probalby bad form but I'll never know because I can't do them anymore. I finally figured out that I can't move 45s around with my left hand alone although my right hand is no problem. I got a cortisone shot in my left arm for a recent bout and I am working a strengthening program on both teondons right now though I'm not clear on how tendons strengthen.

I forgot one thing. I used DMSO for a few weeks. I don't try t figure out whether it is mental or physical anymore but it helped me get back in shape while the thing healed.
