By eating clean, that means you eat mostly natural food (minimum process).
Eat quality protein, such as lean meat, fish, chicken breast, cottage cheese, etc.
As for the carbs, make sure you choose a low GI carb source, such as oatmeal, wholewheat bread, yam, sweet potato, pasta etc. Low GI carbs will ensure that your body is fueled throughout the day.
As for the fat, just eat in moderation. Eat minimum saturated fat. Peanuts, almonds, fish oil, olive oil, flaxseed oil should be the main sources.
If you keep on eating clean, I think your body would not gain fat easily.
