how do i know im gonnna get bulk from eating a lot and not just fat like i used to be?

that's part of bulking.  you put on some fat when you bulk, then you cut it all off during cutting season.
 
i don't know how "fat" or skinny you are now, but if you think you have too much fat, cut first.
 
i've used this before though.....think of bodybuilding as football.  you have 2 seasons; a regular season, and an offseason.
 
think of the offseason as bulking season.  athletes are using the offseason to get stronger, faster, quicker, and basically better.  ------then they spend the regular season putting what they've gained in their speed, strength, etc into action in actual games.
 
see, you use the "offseason" to bulk, and get bigger.  yes, you're going to gain fat, that's just part of it.  but when cutting season comes around, you put together a good diet for yourself after you calculate your caloric needs, and cut all the fat off and reveal your muscles from under the fat.

also, you worrying about getting fat......this is what i always say about stuff like that.
 
80% of the things you worry about never happen.  The other 20%, you can't do anything about.

By eating clean, that means you eat mostly natural food (minimum process).
 
Eat quality protein, such as lean meat, fish, chicken breast, cottage cheese, etc.
As for the carbs, make sure you choose a low GI carb source, such as oatmeal, wholewheat bread, yam, sweet potato, pasta etc. Low GI carbs will ensure that your body is fueled throughout the day.
 
As for the fat, just eat in moderation. Eat minimum saturated fat. Peanuts, almonds, fish oil, olive oil, flaxseed oil should be the main sources.
 
If you keep on eating clean, I think your body would not gain fat easily.

Well, how clean do you mean by "clean"?

started in February 16th 2007: 58kg (127.6lbs)
current : around 78-79kg (171.6lb-173.8lb)

I don't train body parts these days... I train basic compound exercises...
