I would say that you can't go wrong eating clean at "maintainence".  Maintainence being just enough to be able to perform the goal lifts each workout while still being able to recover for the next workout, but not gain weight.  If you have trouble recovering, eat more.  If you are recovering fine and gaining weight, eat less.... I think you guys are overrating technique though.  Sure its extremely important, but these guys have tons of explosive power.  Oly lifter's vertical jumps are in the 40s, theres more than technique going on. 6'0"  200 lb  7.5% goal 6% http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/RollingStones-Journal-m336444.aspx thehardway Elite Member * Total Posts : 1514 * Reward points : 10 * Joined: 8/8/2006 * Location: Philadelphia, PA * Status: offline Reply to messageMessage Options Re:Olympic lifts-diet - Thursday, February 12, 2009 7:07 AM RollingStone brihead301 Yes, Oly lifting is all about technique.  Well, strength obviously is a huge aspect as well. Oh, well Idk what its about but I know what all tha jumbled up mess is.

I tried to quote your message and I like highlighted the whole page or something and somehow it all got stuck in the quote.  I posted it and then saw it and edited the post to fix it so it was just quoting your message.

Idk why it showed up in your inbox or anything though...

And my journal also did the same thing not too long ago.
