agreed, I tore a labrum about 2 years ago.  I saw the doctor, dr. said surgery, I said no..  Physical therapy.  Went twice, I said no more.  Gave my shoulder a rest for about 3 months (while doing exercises at home) I was up to full strength soon.

How did you do it, do you know.  Mine was not too painful, but I thought I dislocated my shoulder.  Felt really weird.  The motion I lost was my behind the back motion.

I am currently going through shoulder rehab on my right arm - long term, just finished week 9, so if there are any question you have about exericises or the injury let me know.  I will do my best to help..

i stiff armed my 250lbs brother, thats when i felt.  i asked my doc is i could of weakend it doing bench press or shoulders, cuz i do lift 300plus lbs weekly on the bench and up to 275lbs on shoulder press excercises.  he said the body is not meant to take on that much stress on a regular basis.

should i be taking it easy when my shoulder heals???

If you value the use of your shoulder over the next 30-50 years - then YES

Ive seen quite a few idiots with labrum injuries get chronic pain and discomfort by going back too fast too soon.
